What's with him fighting in front of his kid?

Ask @EaglePhan1986 I was busy at work that week but eventually read through most of it and it was fantastic.  @Bacarty2 challenged him to a fight in the parking lot of a preseason game in front of his own child for literally no reason at all.  @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! Probably had a combat waiver on hand, and Bacarty never showed up.  Eaglephan sent a pic, and while I realize he probably wasn’t even at the game, Bacarty still thinks he won the fight.

Reminds me of Wentz’s career

He said he was going to the first preseason game with his kid and I asked him which Steelers jersey he was going to wear. He said I should come say it to his face and told where he’d be. Later in the night I google mapped wherever he said he’d be and sent a screenshot asking where he was. It was clear what I did.

Earlier today he was all like "oh I knew he wouldn’t show and he lied about being there”

Seriously though, I need to stop, it is clear he got picked on a lot growing up.

One would think he wouldn't want his kid to see him get his arse kicked so why involve him/her? That's the part I don't get

Not sure what the big deal is either way.  People were talking about Strong as a prospect as far as a year ago in this board.  And a lot of people had him projected being drafted pretty high as well.

It's "ok" to like a QB prospect coming out of college and it's also "ok" to get excited about the Eagles signing him as an UDFA.  Maybe some posters took it a little far, thinking he would somehow take over the starting role this year, etc...and now some of those same people are saying they were trolling, etc  Only they know for sure how they felt but I know several of them were very serious about Carson Strong as a prospect as far back as a year ago...so take it for what it's worth.

And who's to say Strong's time in Philly is over?  Hurts is the #1, Minshew the #2...(As if there were any doubts) but  if they think they can develop him, and no one else picks him up, he could end up on the PS.  Just a guess.

I felt this way for a while that the Eagles were thinking a long-term with Carson Strong. They knew Gardner minshew was leaving at the end of this year. Whether hurts was the starter next year or not they needed a long-term backup. So why not get a guy who has a strong arm that they liked his upside and seeing if they can groom him for a year to be that potential back up with some upside.

The only way Carson Strong would’ve ever played this year is if Jalen hurts got hurt and they wanted to see what Carson Strong was for the future (as they don’t believe minshew is the future) or if Jalen hurts was not living up to expectations and neither was the team late in the season where they basically weren’t making the playoffs and they wanted to see what strong gave them to make a decision for his long term future.

No doubt.  A guy that did not get drafted and has character and injury concerns.  Dude’s bitter because he got got.  I can’t wait for the mods to give me permission to post the PM from Saturday night April 30 that set all this in motion.

Who says he has character issues???

I'm not a huge fan of RTK but ive always had cordial conversations with him, unlike some posters in here including you.

I think a premeditated organized campaign to troll one or two posters should be ban worthy for all involved

It sets bad precedence even if the target of that trolling is someone on the  board that people don't seem to like.

To paraphrase Norm MacDonald... once in a while you have to blow a dog for a pint of gin.

It was harmless fun pumping up a guy as the future franchise QB, who had probably a 5% chance of making the roster. Don’t take everything so seriously.

And there was plenty of articles about how poorly he interviewed at the combine, and talking about him being immature and self-centered.

That person has the option of putting a poster on ignore

I have no idea if this guy can fight or not.

Either way, I need to ease off him. Clearly anyone challenging some shmuck (Me) on a message board to a fight with his kid there is not ok upstairs.

The red flag for me was when he went undrafted.  I was glad the Eagles picked him up as an UDFA but the fact that he went undrafted basically told me that there were some significant issues behind the scenes.  I guess a lot of it had to do with his knee injury, among other things but from that day forward, I considered him a "long term project".

My guess is most likely not

Like I said if trolling is harmless fun then what's to stop anyone from trolling out of harmless fun and the mods doing nothing?

It sets a bad precedence and opens the door for more posters or the same to do the same again which weakens the Integrity of the board.

If I wanted to converse with a bunch of trolls in a football message board I'd go to the plethora if others out their that are just that

This board is supposed to be different and special to a lot that have been in it for years, like me and others

Good job you made a mockery of the whole board and it's purpose  so you could troll a poster hope you feel proud of yourself and I hope you get a ban.

My bad.  I shouldn’t have put @VaBeach_Eagle in touch with Dave Spadaro to do what was necessary to keep the board alive.  My sincerest apologies.

That doesn't justify trolling or excuse it.

It's just as easy to simply not troll.

It was one small side topic, has every single post that all of us involved posted been about Carson Strong?

Would it make you feel better if I asked voluntarily to have the mods give me to warning points for my actions?

This is why he gets destroyed everyday.  He either lacks the intellectual capacity to understand that it’s not ok to act like that in front of his own child, or he’s a Tommy tough nuts who just gets off on lying about everything on the internet.  I’m actually scared to say that I think he may just be a total moron.

Yeah him going undrafted felt like teams didn’t think his knee would hold up, he needed another surgery performed on it at some point or they believed they’d have to basically redshirt him for a year. I know there were some rumors about immaturity issues as well. If he gets to the practice squad i still think they’d like to groom him to be a backup going forward. He be a cheap backup if they do for a couple years and they could use that with minshew being a FA at end of 2022.
