As for Sanders, he has been pretty consistent in averages each season (including the 2020 season where we had 16 different O-line combinations). He's a good RB. T-1000 Posted February 14, 2023 Share Posted February 14, 2023 How the hell does Miles Sanders all of a sudden stop trying to bounce everything outside, stop fumbling the ball, and stop being soft as puppy crap all season long and then in the biggest game of the year ALL of his weaknesses from the past come back in a major way. The play where he fumbled out of bounds and caused us to lose a yard he had an opportunity to cut inside and lower his shoulder for 3 or 4 yards and instead tried to run around a Devonta Smith block where Smith was pushing the guy to the outside. He had fumbling issues earlier in his career and at PSU. He fumbled the first time he touched the ball in the SB and then was a split second away from having a second fumble which would have resulted in a scoop and score for the Chiefs. I have said this EXACT same thing about Emmitt Smith...those 300+ O-Line opened up tremendous holes for him his entire career and that is why he got the yardage he did, not the fact that he was this amazing RB....the O-Line absolutely makes a difference in what the RB will get.... 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mostly because of our cap situation, but also because of how Gainwell played later in the year and because there are a few RBs I like in the draft. I’d offer Sanders a 3-4 year deal around 15-20 million total, he’ll probably get a better offer somewhere else. Would like to see if Trey Sermon has anything to offer and also draft a guy. Bijan Robinson at 30 or early 2nd in a trade back (he probably won’t be there though).
