Walk 2 and throw up a meatball. Great start.

Era with Stubbs 2.82

Era with JT 4.84-5.12

Yeah, Nola sucks, but give the guy his binky or don't start him

Can't hit, can't pitch, can't field. Sick of watching these clowns swing at bad pitches.

Welp

The guy just sucks. The last guy you want pitching in Atlanta.

Very true that you probably don’t want him starting here, but the Phillies put themselves in a position. But sadly, you don’t compound a situation. The Phillies completely compounded a bad situation and made it worse.

it wasn’t like Nola at the end of the year pitched with Jt and showed out. He was awful the last two starts with JT. The Phillies can’t call themselves an analytic organization but then when the analytics show them, you shouldn’t do something you do it anyways. That tells me you only use analytics when it benefits what you want to do.

Give me Wheels on 3 days rest than Nola on 5 days rest in an elimination game every single time.

Can we get rid of Turner?

I wish

Can someone explain to me that if Wheeler was always going to pitch tonight, why not just start him and see how far he can go?

That’s an entirely different discussion. Should they have started Wheeler? Yes. However if you’re gonna make the stupid ass decision to start Nola, then you better use the numbers that tell you he is way more comfortable and way better with stubbs this year, then he has been with Jt. this isnt a small sample size. This is a pretty plentiful sample size that showed he had been terrible with Jt.

I have the same question. Try to keep them off the board and maybe get a lead.

Because dumb dick Don thought he was better suited to come out of the pen

It’s dumb but this is why, Nola has never pitched out of the bullpen. That’s it

Tbh I hate d!pshit Don. But I have a hard time believing it was solely his decision to do that. This feels like an organizational decision. They were discussing it after the game through the morning about what they were gonna do. This feels like the front office, Dave and Don came to that conclusion. They’re all Fing idiots.

Need base runners, take walks if they are there. Sick of these guys chasing bad pitches.

Even Kruk is dumbfounded by these decisions

I'm not watching but I'm guessing it's just swing for the fences or bust. That's all they know how to do.

You don’t start Stubbs over JT in the playoffs. JT hasn’t been hitting great, but he’s better than Stubbs. I guess it doesn’t matter if the rest of the hitters can’t hit.

Bohm so slow

It’s because they’re dumb. There’s no way around it.

Like I said before you’re already making a bad decision by starting Nola if you’re going to use Wheeler in this game. You should’ve just started with Wheeler and try to go as far as he could go. But if you’re actually going to commit to starting Erin Nola, don’t compound the situation. You even had two starts prior to this repeating what we’ve seen all year. Which was Aaron nola sucked with Jt and whatever reason he was good with Stubbs.

The bigger point is if I’m gonna make a dumb decision like starting Noah over wheeler, then I’m not gonna compound it with readily available information and what we’ve seen for basically four months now.

Jt has been awful with nola all year. He has a 5.12 era with jt. Last two starts nola got lit up with JT. So not just data form 5-6 months back but just before the playoffs where Nola had been VERY good with Stubbs prior. With Stubbs he has a 2.82 era.

Furthermore, you have 3 catchers on this roster. So you could afford until Nola comes out of the game to go with Stubbs. Cause frankly right now JT is hitting about the same as Stubbs. And then brought in Jt. The reality is Jt has been terrible with Nola all year.

Definitely over now... Fn christ

I DGAF about Nola. He sucks. I’m not sitting JT in the playoffs cuz Nola has an issues pitching to one of the best strategic catchers in baseball. Nola couldn’t hit the broad side of Kate Smith tonight. Can’t blame that on JT.

Time to clean house, give us something to be happy about
