What covid excuse? he was back well before the start of the season, Juan soto just came back and hit the longest homer he has ever hit

August 13, 20206 yr If there's another game that's on national TV that gets postponed or delayed because of rain, I'm gonna smash my TV with a brick and kick the dog. So the game is on ESPN at 4, gets delayed because of rain (not sure exactly how long), but they never put it back on. So now I have the pleasure of watching a 'ukn WNBA game!!!
August 13, 20206 yr Bohm at 3rd with Segura at 2nd and Kingery as the utility guy actually makes sense. It may not be what we wanted to happen, but it makes sense with what they have. It actually comes down to Kingery vs. Hoskins. Hoskins is better in the lineup now, due to walks. I think Kingery has a better shot of being a long term piece, but I wouldn't hold my breath on either. That impacts whether you go Bohm at 3rd and Segura at 2nd or Segura at 3rd and Bohm at 1st.
August 13, 20206 yr And why isn't Haseley playing every day? He's young, he's a high first round pick, and he's hitting right now. You may or may not love him as a prospect, but how does that equate to a locked in starter, especially in this lineup with the other OF options?

After tonight they might be moving in a second. Like I don’t know how you could be the owner of the Phillies and not look at this bullpen and say how the hell does my general manager still have a job with a bullpen that is this atrocious and not being able to sign JT Realmuto. If this season really goes south I wouldn’t be surprised if Jt realmuto wants to leave the Phillies because they suck

Apparently he hurt his wrist yesterday. However he hasn’t been playing regularly all season. And for who Roman Quinn and Andrew McCutchen who are not going to be any part of this team future down the road

Their player development sucks. Nearly all of his moves he made for the bullpen over the years have sucked. His greatest accomplishment was getting Bryce harper because John Middleton stepped in and got him because he want a Manny Machado. Like he’s made two good moves in his tenure harper and didi. Realmuto is still a jury is out because if Realmuto leaves at the end of this year then it’s an awful trade for one year and a shortened season year. And didi could also leave.

He kept Amaro around way too long and is doing the same with Klentak. Between those two decisions, he’s set Phillies baseball back a decade and god knows how much longer. This current state of the Phillies is mid-late 90s Phillies bad. Completely unwatchable. The team and farm system is so devoid of talent, I have little hope moving forward.

Honestly kind of feels like the Phillies have a great run for 5-6 years then about 12-17 of dreadful baseball with one outlier year.
August 14, 20206 yr The Phillies are paying nearly $40m combined to McCutchen, Kingery and Segura next season. Just let that sink in 🤮

Just let that sink in 🤮 Kingery they paid way too soon cause of how he looked last spring training. Mccutchen they were stupid to begin with. They massively overpaid him especially when you consider how much Brantley got and one year less. He’s a better player at this stage then mccutchen. Mccutchen was declining before he got here. And this leadership will help is a joke. I don’t need to overpay for leadership. Nor overpay for a declining mccutchen to come here. segura is just a pain in the a** everywhere he goes. They were in a rush to lay kingery meanwhile scraped crawford wayyyy to early. He’s actually playing well for the Mariners. He’s hitting .296 and on base .405
