Why do managers insist on using Vince for more than 5 innings? If you get 5 out of him with 3 runs or less, consider yourself blessed and go to the bullpen (yeah, i know, the pen sucks).

Honestly this team is a bunch of loser. They find ways to lose. They have 3-4 good games then completely fall apart for two weeks. They need to can klentak and start over with a new GM. Klentak moronic moves in the bullpen have blown up in his face yet again. I would love to know one free agent he has sign for the BUllpen that is actually worked out. Just one? Robertson failure. Neshek failure. Tommy hunter failure. And then his complete Fing moronicness of not making Dominguez have the surgery when it Fing happened

Can’t pitch, can’t win.  Doesn’t matter how much you can rake if you can’t get anybody out.  Baseball doesn’t have a game clock — you have to get outs.  Spend the payroll on a solid rotation and develop hitters internally.  The Phillies couldn’t be any further away from that blueprint.  Is there any pitcher on this roster the team can build around?

Another toxic element is rewarding terrible players.  Kingery can’t play — I’ve been saying it for two years.  I’d take 10 Francos and Hernandez’s before another Kingery

So.....our bullpen blew TWO leads in a DH today.  Yeah, sounds about right.  Not the least bit surprised by that.  I bet at the end of this shortened season that our BP blows more leads than any other BP, even if they get as many opportunities as other teams might.  They'll have the highest percentage of blown leads.

As of earlier this week they were the third worst bullpen in major league baseball history. After Nolla and wheeler the rotation is basically awful. Arrieta sucks. The velasquez can never get through five. Eflin throws a ton of strikeouts but can’t get out of like four innings. And Spencer Howard has looked like a rookie pitcher. Then you have your best bullpen arm yet hit by a line drive in the nuts. And everyone including neris sucks

Girardi is used to managing players who can actually play.  No idea how he could possibly fix this without better pitching.

Well we won't solve the pitching this year that's for sure. In your opinion though, do you think they are hitting better because of Giardi ? Or do think it's just because Harper is playing up to his talent level and that is boosting the whole line up?

I think harper playing at an MVP is helping. I also think adding didi helps as he’s a good hitters a well. I’d also add bohm has been hitting well for a rookie which is a massive upgrade from what they had at third. Those imo are all upgrades from franco, segura and what harper was hitting last year. But i do think you are seeing more guys hitting better situationally this year instead of just going full blown launch angle. 

Phillies do an amazing job making Travis d’arnaud look like babe Ruth. Guy has 3 homers all year. 2 against us. 

Nola having a real clunker tonight.  Gave up a pair of 430 ft HRs.  Just doesn't have it this night.  He was our only hope.  Now Girardi will have to go to the pen.  Are the Braves' players practicing their swings on T-ball stands so they can get their timing down for the Phightins' BP?
