Not only that we have Soto going in the 10th. This goes back to Walker being dog crap where we blow through bullpen early cause dude can’t give you 6 consistently. Last 4 starts he made it past 5 innings once.

Soto has been garbage all year at least Seranthony has shown improvement. Gonna need another BP arm

He has but the issue is more had to use strahm, Hoffman, Alvarado and kerkering all an inning early so you were forced to use Dominguez when he pitched yesterday or Soto or Ruiz.

This team’s inability to bring a guy home from second base with zero outs every time we go to extra innings recently is Fing annoying. Literally every extra innings game recently we are incompetent to get that run home

Oh well, another series win

I expect 5 1/3 innings and 4 runs. Walker sucks and St. Louis is due.

Pretty close

lol 3-17 with RISP.

It was much worse than Turner’s initial reaction so I’m expecting Marsh to be out 2-3 months at least

JFC why the F is Merrifield swinging away when he’s hitting .176? Bunt the freaking runners over. Add on why is he even hitting. You still had Sosa and jt on the bench.

Because the manager isn't a good manager in tight games

Pretty sure they’re top 5 in MLB with RISP this year, but ok.

Topper said day to day last night. They’ll reevaluate tomorrow.

How many are at home hitting HR vs driving runs in? Also not playing good teams lately. I don't care how they rank it's who they are the last two postseasons in tough games vs AZ and Houston. They don't do the small things to get runs in.

I’m curious to see how they do in the playoffs. That is what  ultimately got them in the postseason last year (along with blind faith in kimbrel). When the homers dried up they just couldn’t get the timely hits with RISP. They hit as a team .226 with RISP in the playoffs. I believe a 30 point drop from the regular season.  kind of somewhat expected as facing better pitching. Braves series they hit .219 with RISP. game 2 vs. dbacks they went 5-7, the rest of the series they hit .159 (7-44). outside of game 2 they were .194 (18-93) for nlcs

I said this last year and I still believe it, they never really replaced the bat they lost in rhys Hoskins. He hit .292 with RISP in 2022. They added Turner, but Turner was supposed to be a long with Hoskins in the lineup. They still really haven’t replaced his bat. Imo they should go all in on acquiring it.

Hoskins is an average player at best but would rather have him at first. Harper in right and castellanos gone

Was my thinking all offseason. Time to trade Castellanos was last offseason. Coming off a solid year. Even if you ate some money it would be worth it  to not have to pay the rest of his contract and get someone better out there with what you saved
