September 10, 20242 yr Current magic numbers: 1st Seed - 18 2nd Seed - 15 3rd Seed - 12 4th Seed - 12
September 10, 20242 yr I’m not sure I knew that Kody Clemens was Roger Clemens’ son. I feel dumb now.
September 10, 20242 yr Why Castro is even on the 40 man roster to begin with is ridiculous but at least Marchan can play with realmuto out.

Next up is staying ahead of Milw and that still looks pretty good at the moment. Overall, they've played very well the last couple of weeks and while the injuries suck they are all minor. The biggest issue right now outside of the injuries is Harper but still time for him to get going.
September 10, 20242 yr Harper's injury is the most concerning to me. He himself stated that his wrist won't get fixed until the offseason. It's nice he can still get on base but if he's unable to really drive the ball and hit homers, they aren't winning jack this year.

I was actually going to ask last night if Harper was ever going to hit a home run again this season

He also needs to just assume every ball he hits, even the ones he drives, are not going out so he needs to be running hard right out of the batters box and none of the nonsense we saw last night.

Not as much wear and tear out there, assuming he doesn't slam into any walls. But yeah, it seems every year with him it's something nagging.
