I swear DD must have been either drunk or on crack when he gave Walker that contract. Horrible signing and they still have 2 more years of paying him.

 

I’d argue the dbacks are the best team in the NL right now. Swept the guardians and have gone 38-20 since June 1. They got Eduardo Rodriguez back today and he looked good. Merrill Kelly is expected to return sometime soon.

Tbh i thought before the season they’d lose in the nlds. I still think that’s where it ends. I said this when they didn’t do anything all off-season. Almost every contender around you in the National League went out and got better. They added guys to improve their team. You sat there didn’t do anything besides bring everyone back, let Hoskins walk and sign Whit Merrifield. You knew that wasn’t gonna be good enough when everybody else got better and you stayed the same and everybody was already pretty close to you. It meant you needed Rojas, marsh, Stott, Bohm and Turner all to make jumps. Only Turner and Bohm did. And realmuto has regressed 

Frankly, I think the diamondbacks are just a better team than last year when healthy. They have 3 legitimate guys they could throw out there as starters, their bullpen is much better than what it was last year and their lineup is much better than it was last year (that’s with Corbin Carroll not hitting like last year).
