I’d take a gamble on them over teams like Atlanta, brewers who are ahead of them. There’s a reason they’ve played 18 games over .500 since June 1st and 22-8 in their last 30 games

Second if you call them up too early, you could possibly ruin them and they don’t recover and lose confidence. Third with their contracts, teams usually like to wait til a certain point in the year because of service time. If they start the season and play a certain amount of games, then that counts as one year of service time. But if you call them up later in the year and they don’t meet the required games active roster/played then you get them for another year on the contract at a cheaper price.

Yeah they brought him up super young. But even his first year in 96 he didn’t exceed the number of games so they retained one of his years of service as he only played 31 games.
