Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

He was still making some insane throws in that game lol receivers kept dropping

Yep. Watched a video of the Bucs players "fanboying” over those throws too. They were in awe.

I wonder since he was actively being hit at the time when he pulled the ball back that they called it forward progress.

That's where the grey area lives in the rule.  They don't rule it that way often though... most of the time they just give where the ball is extended to, regardless.

I get forward progress, but if he pulled the ball back on his own accord, shouldn't it come back?

He's being pulled back at the same time so they give him any progress. If he's not being restrained then it's wherever the ball is at upon first contact by a defender.

How about Kenny Gainwell? I thought he had a big part in jump starting the offense at the end of the first half. Sanders wasn't running with any physicality and no one could get any YAC. Gainwell made some nice plays to get us going.

There’s human Mahomes and then there is Jordan Mahomes.  The Eagles need to research every possible angle and association with human Mahomes.

It’ll have to be relentless four man pressure. That’s it. Two high safety used to work but he seems to have figured it out. Staley went against the grain in one game last year, going cover 1 more than anyone else.

Bengals defense shitting the bed.

Welp. Looks like we get Mahomes. Who will probably be allot healthier..

. that was a dumb penalty.

He’s a good player. I don’t get why people get annoyed at his usage.

MVS is the type of WRs that gives us problems (lots of speed)

WHAT?

That only counts if you are forced back.  If you willingly retreat (which retracting the ball can be considered), you don't get forward progress.

He's being restrained though, so the ball carrier always gets the benefit of the doubt in those situations. I've never once seen it called where they don't give the ball carrier forward progress on a reach like that.

Wow! Huge break for Cincy.

Sloppy game fumble recovered by cincy

How can we make Mahomes do that?

There you go E45. Make sure Mahomes drops the ball when trying to throw.

Add it to the list.

Stop the screen game, crap

Mahomes needs to pull a Brady and deflate that ball a bit - make it easier to hold on to

Not hearing much about Lane handling the DPOY soundly with a torn groin. One of the best RTs I've ever seen.

Bengals need to spend another offseason trying to fix that OL

Amazing game. That said, Bosa was a stud against the run.
