In our game, the refs got it wrong on Devonta’s catch and Purdy’s fumble…but both were difficult calls.  The Bengals failed to challenge and the Eagles didn’t.  So the Eagles’ call was correctly reversed.  I attribute that delta more to coaching than to favorable officiating.

The Bengals also earned every single one of those penalties against their defense.

The roughing the kicker penalty was absolute BS.  We’d have been irate if that went against us.  But that was probably less home cooking and more just the way that stuff goes these days.

Random but I used to be a manager at for a rec sports league. I mostly dealt with soccer and kickball, yes, kickball. 

90% of the complaints I got were about the officiating. I don’t know how many times I said to these "athletes” "ok do you or have you ever watched any sport on tv? Well the refs often suck and they make bad calls and miss crap all the time while having replay, multiple assistant refs, VAR, etc.. and they get paid thousands of $ per game. We’re just happy when the refs actually show up”

Drove me crazy that these shmucks actually expected the refs to be good.
