We know the man can play ball, we know he can sing, and now this? A modern day Renaissance man.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Credit to him for going back out there. They really should have just went Wildcat though.

Felt yesterday if it was bad enough he didn’t go back in right away it was likely worse than josh Allen’s elbow.

The latter was WAY tougher. The Slay ball was a damn punt.  I think he was going hard in the wrong direction but not sure why.

That's where the receiver was... and the ball went to no man's land.   Edwards' play was going to be a crazy effort to land it, but you need those kinds of plays in the SB.

Didn't this season prove that we're not just a running team? Hurts has had games where he's aired it out. Eagles can beat teams either way

Not so much since coming back from the injury, though.  Since the Week 18 return against the Giants he's played 3 games and gone 51/84 for 504 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT.  Per game that's 17/28, 168 yards.  The positive is he doesn't make any big errors, and can still make first downs and TDs when needed with his legs.  I would also need someone who was at the game to comment on the wind conditions, etc.  I don't think he's been near his early season form throwing the ball, though.

The great news -- I believe the Eagles can beat the Chiefs playing the same type of football they've played the past 3 weeks.  Run the ball, rush the QB, dominate in the trenches.

I want him to go out on top

Ah...didnt see the receiver either time.

Well, that sucks for him.  He battled hard and even tried to get back in to throw.  Much respect.

I don't think I sobered up until about noon today

Can you elaborate on this sober that you speak of?

Early on here this feels a lot like our last superbowl. They have an edge at QB, but we are better at almost every other position and group across the board. I thought the same in 2017.

Wind wasn’t bad. Overshot AJ on the go route and threw a pretty good 50/50 ball to DeVonta down the sideline that he couldn’t come down with.

Little bit short on the Devonta ball. Forced him to come back to it a tick.

He is definitely not his pre injury self.  Certainly a concern

In regards to the one more year, looking at some cap stuff, there is some type large guarantee that kicks in for 2024 if he is on the roster after June 2nd 2023.

I don't have that same "magical" feeling of 2017 when there was no doubt in mind they were winning the SB. It's hard to replicate everything that led up to that moment though. Being a favorite the entire run feels different and a little bit odd.

He had it last year too. It's basically just there for him to make a decision one way or the other. They can give him a new contract and rip that up if he want's to come back. Also allows the Eagles to file his retirement papers post June 1st.

I was thinking the same thing on my drive to work today.

It feels the exact opposite for me. I went into that 2017 game with 100% hope and prayer. My heart said maybe and my brain said we werent going to win. This year I feel like we are going to win and feel more confident. Just a different feeling after winning our 1st Superbowl.

I think the OL played an OK game.  Hurts didn't seem comfortable in the pocket at all, especially early in the game.  I think they made some great blocks that are easy to highlight but as a whole, I'd say they were B-, C+.

Interesting take.  What improvements in their individual and/or collective play would have raised your B-, C+ grade a notch to B, B-?  Or two notches to B+, B?

For me a B-, C+ grade is "a notch below average … a grade of B would be average.

Average rushing yards per game in the 272 NFL games this season was 121 yards.  How does that make yesterday’s 148 rushing yards below average.  The Eagles’ rushing average for the season was 147.6 yards.  So even if that is the standard, is 148 yards below average.  Further, against a Niners Defense that was very stingy giving up rushing yards, the Eagles doubled the Niners season average. Plus tThey allowed 1 sack for zero yards.  How is that below average?

It’s a puzzlement.

I’ve been secretly confident every game they went into. Not like i 100 percent knew they were gonna win but confident and relaxed. Usually in the past super nervous especially that 2017 cause i didn’t know what to expect going into the postseason after wentz got hurt and what we saw the last couple games

Well, in honesty I thought they were one and done at first. But halftime of the Vikings game convinced me there was something on our side and we wouldn't be denied. Kinda felt that way during the last Phillies run too. I think I'm just used to Philly teams almost always being underdogs.

100% Agree. Going after the 1st SB is also different.

This year has been way less stressful than 2017. We're just better.

@Boogyman It does feel like 2017.

They even have a similar trio of HoF Coach, QB, and TE while the Eagels are better overall.

I think both Eagles lines are more dominant this time. I'd love for Hurts to play like Foles did but I will take 290 on the ground instead.

Mahomes can do some incredible things so that is what keeps this game a mystery but beyond that I think the Eagles just have so much going for them.  A far more talented team top to bottom.  I'm a huge Andy Reid fan but besides that one year the Chiefs won it all, Andy has built up a career of getting deep in the playoffs and coming up short.

It should be a really fun Super Bowl and I think the Eagles have a really good chance of winning it.

I wonder what jerseys we are wearing though.  I hope it is green and not white and I'm pretty sure it should be since Rams had white jerseys in last years Super Bowl for the NFC.

Lmao sure…
