Those planning on our QB getting caught up in the bright lights of the Super Bowl are going to be sorry.  The moment is not too big for Hurts.  He will be good.

Yeah honestly not much talk that I've heard of how Mahomes hasn't really played all that well in his two Super Bowl appearances thus far.  Even the Super Bowl they won he really wasn't having a good game until he turned it on in the 4th quarter and took it over.  For how great he is, the lights on the biggest stage of the year seem to get to him a bit.

SB vs 49ers: 61.9%, 286 yards, 6.8 YPA, 2 TD, 2 INT, 78.1 QB rating.

SB vs Bucs: 53.1%, 270 yards, 5.5 YPA, 0 TD, 2 INT, 52.3 QB rating.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Very interesting...

It begins.

This was probably already posted, but for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, the guy that did the Eagles pre-Super-Bowl version of Hallelujah 5 years ago, did a new one for this game too.

Kinda cool because he sort of predicted the Philly special. New song isn't as good as the original, but still made me laugh and really enjoyed it.

Original:

Sequel:

The fact that we know this now, makes it significantly easier to keep Brian Johnson. He gets a clear promotion. Hurts will be happy. It's good for morale on the staff to promote your own guys.

Dragging this out was the worst-case scenario.

Just wish they waited a day with this and didn't drop it the morning of the Super Bowl.  Bit of an unnecessary distraction heading into the game.

They can offer it, still doubt he accepts that job after all that went on with Sirianni, Reich, etc.

They have the 4th pick and a good defense. I bet he takes it.

Yup.

They wouldn’t be dismissing the other finalists if the decision wasn’t already made

Was it on here that someone shared a video about this?  If not, there was a video where someone suggested that the NFL ad a 2nd bye week and that every team playing a Thursday game has a mandotory bye week prior to that game.  This gives those teams more time to prepare/heal injuries and also extends the season out an extra week.  That would push Super Bowl Sunday back to the 3rd week of February and the 3rd Monday of February is a guaranteed holiday for President's Day on the 3rd Monday of February.

It makes too much sense you know the NFL would never do it.

While Superbowl Sunday has become a thing, I never understood why they didn't move it to Saturday.

They already have a bye week in-between, and a lot of people have off on Sunday, so people can have more parties and not worry about the next day.

Damn…news of losing both coordinators the morning of the Super Bowl kinda sucks.  Really hope they win it because this team will be drastically different next year

We'll see, still feel strongly he doesn't go to that train wreck to play for the coke snorting owner.

I can’t see one matchup that favors them when we have the ball.

Spagnola's CV + 2 weeks to prepare does give me pause -particularly if Hurts doesn't have full range of throwing motion.

Creates another day of money making for the NFL and the host city to have it on Sunday as opposed to Saturday.

The Monday after just needs to be made into a national holiday already.

All that talk about Saturday

Never seen those mountains so can't compare but I can tell you I was born and lived in Utah for 30 years right at the base of mountains in SLC and whenever I go back home to visit a few times a year when I drive into the valley I always say wow look at those mountains those things are huge and beautiful.

Let me know when you make it out there and I'd be happy to answer any questions that I can about out there.

I do want to go to east though one of these days

I was in the NY airport switching planes but never left the airport and was only there long enough to run through terminal to connecting plane so that doesn't really count.

I think the difference between say western NC and western mountains are mostly two things. First the Appalachians are older as others have said. The second difference is rainfall. First, there's more erosion so less jagged. Second more rain means more densely forested and below the tree line. Forested peaks don't look as dramatic as barren or sparse vegetation. When I was at Yellowstone it was just after Labor Day and schools were open. The crowds I was concerned about just weren't there but it was early enough that the weather was great.

Didn't Gannon already say he's not going anywhere?

It was just his gut feeling.

Johnson is the easy dot to connect for the next OC, but I wouldn’t just assume it. Petullo is Sirianni’s right hand man. He might get the promotion to stay if Nick pushes hard for it.

Howie is thinking about that draft pick compensation when Johnson eventually gets a HC job. He’s the guy.

Te Fangio report said he helped the Eagles offense and not the Eagles defense. Interesting.

We win give Vic a ring.

There could be a hidden bright side to losing multiple coaches. Maybe one of them will take our special teams coach with them.

It just wouldn't be wise to go with anyone other than Johnson.  They are about to make Jalen the highest paid asset of the franchise.  Keep him happy and keep the coach that played a huge role in his continued development.  Plus just as important it's just smart for the future of the franchise since Brian Johnson is on track to become a HC in this league one day whether he is OC here or somewhere else.  But if he is OC here and gets hired as a HC by another team down the line then we would be getting two comp 3rd round picks.

It wouldn’t be wise but it wouldn’t surprise me. We just saw a coach lose his job because he couldn’t let go of Press Taylor and freaking Carson Walch. I would hope Sirianni has more sense.
