Spotrac Market Value tab on some Eagles pending UFA's:

Cox at $14M -- no thanks

Graham at $5.7M -- seems low, I might consider that.  Not much higher, though

Hargrave at $20.1M -- wow, that's a lot of a DT.  I like him a lot, but not at that price

Kelce at $11.9M -- of course, he's great value at that number

Bradberry at $15.1M -- I like Bradberry but I wouldn't be able to pay him that.

Seumalo at $12.1M -- on the fence with that one.  If Kelce stays, I think you put Jurgens at RG and say goodbye

Kyzir White at $8.5M -- I don't think so.  He just doesn't make enough plays

Edwards at $11.9M -- that's a hard no for me

Sanders at $7.2M -- so long, Miles.  Draft a guy

CJGJ at $13.3M -- gotta bring him back; he's a playmaker on defense.  On this defense that's a unicorn.

There valuation gets silly sometimes. Kelce just played this year for $14M. Then he went out, made AP1, PB and was clearly one of if not the best O-Linemen in the league. So naturally he get's a paycut for reasons.

On the bright side, we won't have to suffer comments such as "The gold standard" and "The new normal."

Jurgens is in the mold of Kelce.  He’s very athletic and quick, but a bit small.  Jurgens at RG makes the OL far less stout.  I think their trademark play wouldn’t work so well, nor would running to the right side.

Per Eagles website Seumalo weighs the same 303 and is 6’4” to Jurgens 6’3”

Lets wait for the GM exit PC before making such proclamations.

True enough - they don't lack hubris.

Well, to be fair Sean McVay sucks as a DC as well.

"Sure. But Eagles fans are also massive dopes."

Huh. It edited that word

My wild card, probably unrealistic want in free agency is Tremaine Edmunds. Extremely young for UFA, freaky length/athleticism, great long-term complement to Dean.

Hoping we see a more humble Sirianni next year. He was too much this year with his antics IMO.

More like a more masculine version of Brandon Staley.

Going on other teams forums makes me appreciate this forum more. A majority of them are dumb. I couldn't imagine conversing with most of them on a daily basis. I might not agree with some people's opinions on here but I can see that they come out of some basis of reality usually.

Honestly, we should avoid UFAs this year and play the comp pick game. We could have 10+ picks in 2024 that allows us to off-set the QB contract Hurts will get.

I posted about it a few pages back. During the Smith review Sirianni was pointing to Chiefs players and signaling first down. Hurts told him to cut it out. And the Eagles ended up losing the review anyway.

Thoughts:

Tough loss, but we learned Hurts is for real, not much more that he can do to convince people, he's not Mahomes but who is? But everyone else, Burrows, Allen, etc. can you really do better?  They've got to cut back on the RPO type plays, Hurts actually ran better on designed runs, and I think the RPO actually hurts the run blocking b/c it limits the offense, you can't actually pass easily b/c of the one yard rule, teams spy on Hurts and dare the Eagles to pass. More conventional running game, much better real screen game (we have a great OL, USE THEM), and cut back on the WR screens (how often do they actually work?). Got to protect Hurts, make him more of a pocket QB and let him use his legs to make plays, but don't build the running game around him.

Let Sanders walk, he's not worth big money, he's basically a glorified 1A type, b/c he can't and won't run inside. And he's regressed as a receiver and is below average as a blocker.

They need a 5'11 220 lb back with good quickness and vision but average speed (i.e. 3rd/4th rd type) who can blitz pickup and catch the ball out of the backfield. Your basic power back who may not break a lot of 20 yard runs but who can carry a safety who hits him in the hole forward for 2-3 years and put them in 2nd and 6 or 7 on a consistent basis.

They also need a 3rd WR or H-back, good defenses will take away the big three, but that often leaves the field wide open for a good possession WR/H-back who can beat LBs/safeties in man and find soft spots in zones. And they need to throw to the backs more (see above, not dumpoffs with the back standing still, but running routes, Gainwell can do that).

Defense tends to be more variable year to year, which is why you ensure a top offense, you can piece together defense if you have a good DC.

Gannon coaches for regular season wins, i.e., coach to not give up big plays and let the offense win games.

But he can't even slow down a top QB, if the pass rush isn't dominating, there's no plan. With this offense, you should take more risks, because you know if they get the ball back, they'll score - so accept a few big plays as a tradeoff to get stops.

Howie will have to let a few defensive starters go, and patch those spots.

Most top draft picks start halfway into their rookie seasons, most draft picks don't start until their 2-3 seasons and often redshirt their draft season (back of the roster, STs, and for later round picks, the PS). Teams usually improve when 1st and 2nd year players make a big jump, not by adding a bunch of rookies. So you're drafting for 2024-2026.

Next year guys like Davis, Williams, Blankenship, Dean, and a few others need to step up.

Meanwhile, look for Howie to bring in some low cost patches, and wait for this year's Bradshaw to shake loose.

I'm moving to my anger stage after feeling numb...the mother f'ing league is rigged. There is no freaking way that it's a coincidence with that betting line and all the money that could be made by the Chiefs winning that it didn't play a part.

The Chiefs didn't make one hold all game long against our DL? BS

There wasn't one call all game long that could have been called after the one that was missed in the first quarter? BS

If that wasn't a penalty all game long you can not as the head ref allow that to stand even if someone threw a flag. His job as the head ref is to step in and say look that was uncatchable even if it was a hold before it was thrown. In this situation, with that much time left, in this game, when we haven't called that all game long we need to let that one go. That's the point of those huddles with refs. Going letter of the law there is utter BS. The betting agencies made a ton of money, Mahomes won another ring, they are happy and they f'ed us.

Yes, the defense f'ed the Eagles, but at the end of the day they stopped them on 3rd down and had the chance to tie it or win was taken from them and the game ended based on the league we love being rigged.

if it's not rigged and it's on the refs being dumb a-holes...then any flag under 2 min needs to be reviewed by someone upstairs and the league.

I hear JJAW might be available.

FWIW there was apparently a ton of money that came in late for KC.
