Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

They earned their way to where they are.  They are the classic underdog.  Highest ranked recruiting class for them I think was 21st in the last 4 years.  Georgia was all top 5, I believe.

I'll disagree.  Hurts was far from a sure thing QB prospect in the 2nd round.  I think he was a big risk and a flawed prospect.  He's since proved us all wrong.

eeeeh... not yet.

Oh no. He’s definitely gonna push for someone he’s seen dominate Madden on Twitch.

He's a guy I really like.  Would be a huge upgrade over Maddox.  He's an incredible blitzer too.

Ridiculous.

Alabama would have given us a game 🤣🤣 and killed TCU

So...the Cardinals are looking for a new GM, a new head coach and want to give their completely immature QB some control on who they bring in as a coach.  What a disaster.

Yeah yeah.  What the NCAA world needs is more Alabama pushed down our throats.

Georgia got all them rough boys

I mean at least they would fight back

Did anybody watch the cardinals hard knocks? Talk about embarrassing, Kyler Murray acts like he is 16. Def worth a watch.

Well that was fun.  Now I gotta find something else to watch.

They had their opportunities...

NCAA would be far more compelling with fewer dominant teams and more parity.  It's Alabama, Georgia, LSU... all the time.  A few teams will sneak their way in... but it's always them... oh and OSU and/or Michigan.  NILs will likely make it worse, not better, and we've seen the end of the underdog story.

I forgot to mention the mega-conferences... just a sad ending for something that used to be truly great.

16 team playoff will help, I hope.

Yup.

Whatever happened to Miami? They were a damn powerhouse for so long.

It really won't.  It will be the same 16 teams rather than 4.  La dee dah.  The golden age of college football is long over.  It's basically just semi pro now.  (And the top teams... it won't even be "semi", it will just be pro.)

This would have been the field.

Sadly, I think this is the way of NCAA football with the NILs.  Mega teams that completely outmatch the rest.

Give those 3-star players another year or 2 of eligibility, an alternative to the XFL or USFL.

Ohio St must be kicking themselves right now.  They had Georgia beat and blew it.

I think college football has a real problem with lack of parity.

@mattwill and @FranklinFldEBUpper give me crap for this, but I struggle to get excited over subtotal accomplishments.  If you’re not winning the SB or you’re not THE up and coming team fresh off a precocious and expectation exceeding run, how can you really feel happy at the end of the year?

Likewise, in the NCAA world, how can 95% of NCAA football get amped for a season in which they have a 0% chance of winning a title?

How can you get passionate about that?  There is a major parity problem.

People excited about a 12 team playoff better get used to games like this.
