Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

I think college football has a real problem with lack of parity.

@mattwill and @FranklinFldEBUpper give me crap for this, but I struggle to get excited over subtotal accomplishments.  If you’re not winning the SB or you’re not THE up and coming team fresh off a precocious and expectation exceeding run, how can you really feel happy at the end of the year?

Likewise, in the NCAA world, how can 95% of NCAA football get amped for a season in which they have a 0% chance of winning a title?

How can you get passionate about that?  There is a major parity problem.

I guess fans would get excited if their team was good enough to get to a decent bowl game. But now players are sitting out of bowl games, or giving half effort just hoping not to get hurt so not even that can be exciting anymore.

There will or there won’t. The situation is fluid.

Howie will monitor the situation.

Exactly. Just keep it at 4 teams.

So you think there shouldn’t be a 12 team playoff? Even in the 4 team playoff, 2 out of 3 games typically seem to be blowouts.

Home field opening round games and quarter finals matchups would be awesome IMO.

I know some don't want to hear it but it would be better if teams like LSU, USC and Bama were in it as well.

Charbonnet is my favorite RB target in this draft.

Carbonnet is ok. Robinson looks like a stud but he's a 1st rounder, so not realistic.
Zach Evans is my guy. Not sure if he's there by the 3rd round though.
If they do draft a back, I do want to sign a guy like Foreman regardless to a low level contract.
Evans, Foreman & Gainwell. I'm very happy there.

I'm curious to see if they unleash Sanders in the playoffs. If there's a time to do it, it will be then. They seemed to limit his carries against the Giants. He should be completely fresh and ready for major touches. If they continue to limit him though, he's obviously a goner.
Two FA RB's I certainly would not object to if they want to go that route, Tony Pollard & Josh Jacobs. Alexander Mattison would be a solid signing as well.

Or a nice aged cheddar that compliments your fine wine.

Bring back the bcs then the only reason they got rid of it was because big 10 fans cried for a decade and here they are crying again

The regular season and conference championships have to matter. If they want to push it to six teams, I think that’s fair. But anything more than that takes away regular season importance. You already basically have extra playoff games during the regular season and the conference championship.

Let me try and illustrate how and why.  You are a Philadelphia fan, but  Philadelphia is only a "subtotal” of your residence.  You may well actually live somewhere other than Philadelphia, for instance in Northern California or Sweden or any number of places.  But your heart resides in Philadelphia.  But your heart trumps the reality that your head knows is the actual truth.  My heart also lives in Ithaca New York.  Justrelax’s heart lives in Ann Arbor as well as in Philadelphia.  There currently are over 250,000 living alumni of UC Davis. That is a lot of heart.  The head understands parity, but the heart understands passion.

Most dominant performance in a National Championship game!

Go Dawgs!

First National Championship game that I completely didn't watch. Could not care less about this matchup.

Reagors fault.

Aren't they talking about making some super conferences or something like that?
