Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Anyone see Seattle as a possible trade partner in the upcoming draft? They have pick 20 and 37 which is worth 1,380 points and pick 10 is worth 1,300

Before I move on @jsb235 and @Mike31mt, why do you take it so personally if someone has something to say about Hurts that is not in line with your opinion ??

We are entitled to our own opinion, and you should stop taking it so personally when we state our opinion.

My opinion, while the season was great, without a two, if not 3 playoff wins, it does not mean much, and already has the injuries that tell me this could very easily end up on the Cam / Lamar path.  And I have evidence to back up that opinion.

The season doesn't mean much if we literally don't win the Super Bowl? I think that view is a bit absolutist, no? Wouldn't it still mean the culmination of large strides made by both the coaching staff and players alike? I, for one, would be pretty damn stoked to see us play in another super bowl even if it meant we unfortunately end up losing it.

I want to see us play in a super bowl, yes. Get to the dance, and anything can happen. We, of all fanbases, should know that better than anyone.

All the dominos have not fallen yet for a Super Bowl appearance.

Need Hurts to be lost for the season and RTK declare the season over.

Not getting to a SB would be a bigger disappointment than 01, 02, 03 or 08

If you go into the analytics, the Chiefs offense this year was just insane. And that was after they lost Hill. It’s crazy the year Mahomes put up.

Maybe the Chiefs have a great head coach who never should have been fired in the first place, but about 85% of his original fan base screamed for it so incessantly for a number of years that the owner finally caved in to the pressure.

It still ticks me off even though I can’t complain about how the past decade has gone for us considering what happened in 2017. But I sure would have loved being a top five team that’s in serious contention every year without having to deal with the ups and downs.

I am using the Cam Newton / Lamar Jackson model.

MVP season( almost for Hurts ), best record in the league.  The career path for Cam / Lamar was down hill from their, the only difference being Hurts has already missed games, and those guys had not yet, but it happened after the MVP year and went downhill.

You think Lurie fired Reid because of the fans ??

Well nobody is tasting your pizza. Compare the chains of our shared experiences

That's fair. Agree.

Dominoes is cardboard and ketchup, Pizza Hut sells out with all dough, but their Deep Dish has legs, Chicago style. Never had a Papa John's so no feedback there. On my short list to try, tho.

If I had to order a Pizza for delivery to NovaCare for Nick and the gang to watch the Giant's game with me, I'd probably have gone with Little Ceasar's, not afraid to put some sauce on the thing and nice condiments.

Not for me, but probably only because the pressure on us was higher back then since we hadn't won a title yet. In '02, we were on the cusp of greatness so my hopes for the following year were still high. In '08, it felt like we were playing with house money with that late run we went on, so while I still absolutely lost my mind, and took over a week for me to mentally adjust to that loss and begin to move on, it wasn't as tough as it was to get over the Panther's loss in '03. That one simply crushed me on many levels. I was gutted for a while. Same for the SB loss the following year. Dark times, indeed.

But having lived long enough to watch us finally lift the Lombardi at least once, I think I'll be able to handle another NFCCG loss better should it happen again.

The combo of Reid and Mahomes is very special. Sometimes a relationship needs to end, as it did for Reid here.

I want to see us compete for a superbowl every season, not just 1 year wonders like those guys. And every Eagles fan should feel the same way.

Fair, but it still won't all be meaningless. It'll mean Sirianni has the chops to coach in this league if nothing else.

Cool, let's start with that first one and go from there. We're very much in contention for a super bowl this season as it currently stands today, no? I guess I just don't see the need to get ahead of ourselves and write off this current team as 1-year wonders yet. I'm willing to enjoy the ride for the time being. Not saying everyone else has to do the same, but that's just me.

This is a great Eagles fan topic.  Rating our disappointment with the team.

So 2008 came out of nowhere, but man coming back to take the lead in the NFCCG and then blowing it.  That sucked.

2002 and 2003 felt like they were our years. Closing down the Linc sucked, bad.

But this year, if we lose, 2/3 chance it's to a division rival so I could see it.

I guess Giants fans are very offended by the idea that the Eagles coach...ate pizza and watched the game?

Right but the original topic was about Hurts having a Cam/Lamar type career. 1 year wonders. We all agree here we dont want Hurts to be a 1 year wonder so why should we want him to have a career like Cam or Lamar? Thats what we were saying.

Yea, 01 and 08 were both house money runs. I think it depends how you judge 02 and 03. The frustration with those loses was compounded because of the seasons prior. If we're looking at it from just a singular season level though I think this team is more talented and much better than any of those teams. If we were to not make it to the SB this year that means we lost to one of Daniel Jones and NYG, Dak Prescott and Dallas Cowboys or Mr Irrelevant. None of those options would be respectable losses.

And with cap and roster issues on the horizon ( I know some of you don't see that how I see it ) this will be the best team Hurts has around him, so this will be his best shot to win a title.

True, and I think that's why that Panthers loss hurt so much. We lost to Jake F'in Delhomme, meanwhile McNabb got hurt on a late hit by Witherspoon (i think?), and Ricky Manning and their other DBs mugged our WRs all game long. Still bitter about it.

Actually would be a legit genius troll move if Nicks intention were to actually offend them over pizza.
