Are you worried this will turn into another TO episode?

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

One thing I am worried about AJ is how he will react to being the #2 WR. DeVonta is ascending before our eyes and will soon eclipse AJ, if he hasn’t already.

DeVonta is destined to be a 120+ catch guy, how is AJ going to react to being a clear #2 WR.

He'll demand to be traded just like Devonte did this year from lack of targets.

Not sure what you mean. The question asked to Nick was word for word "Hey Nick, I wanted to ask you about AJ Brown, At the end of the game it looked like he was frustrated on the sideline and you went over and talked to him. It also appeared as maybe he tweaked something late in the game, can you shed some light on this?"

And that was his answer, about wanting the ball.

Where in all of that do you get "pouting”?

This is true.  I'm thinking it is useful to focus on the issue at hand, namely the Niners, and not get ahead of ourselves with regard to Brown tearing apart the locker room and getting into an open fight with Hurts in the media.

Speaking of pouting WRs, does anyone remember that great cartoon with TO dressed as a baby with a pacifier in the back seat of a car together with McNabb going to get ice cream with Reid driving them?  That was a a classic.  Think it was a Bang cartoon.

Yeah, I sure hope my lack of focus does not impact us on Sunday :roll::roll::roll:

If we win the Super Bowl this year, and your scenario plays out next year, without looking at the cap contract, that will allow us to trade Brown in 2 years for a 1st or 2nd and re-sign Smith who is slightly younger, and better in your case. Then draft another young receiver to pair with him. Smith, Goedert, draft pick will be enough.

Agreed but will Lane be healthy enough to stop Bosa?  What about Mailata on the other side?  We definitely need both of them to hold their own vs. Bosa.

Gotta hope so.

Now I'm worried.  Get your sheet in order dude.

Earliest we could trade him is after June 1 2024.

Here it is.  A true classic.

I also think the injury angle is overblown. I wasn't at the game so maybe I missed it but if something was wrong he'd have trainers all over him, not sitting by himself.

Talk to @HazletonEagle about the spectrum of injuries, some of whic definitely benefit from trainer ministrations and others that do not.  For example what do sideline trainers do for a tweaked hamstring?

I thought AJ Brown would have a disappointingly low-impact year with the Eagles.  Part of that is an extension in the fact that I doubted Hurts.  Part of that is that I never really saw Brown play and do not like the "always open even though they are usually covered" slower power forward type of WRs.  I don't like that fit for the NFL.

So I guess my opinion here is worth a grain of salt because AJ Brown was dominant this year.  He was always open, even when covered.  He managed to pull down or nearly pull down innumerable deep 50/50 balls.

So I was wrong once and I hope I'm wrong again.  I'd bet that AJ Brown doesn't come particularly close to replicating the season he had this year again.  He is noticeably slow for such a dominant WR and I just wonder how he's going to age.

@mattwillDid you happen to talk with JR about Mailata? Not sure if I just missed the post or not

Because he pushed his lips together and made a frowny face in a sexually aggressive manner

He's more than fast enough, how fast do you think Rice or T.O were, or Isaac Bruce?

Brown is similar to TO in that he can overpower most CBs, and he knows how to run routes.

No not yet

It's absolutely incomprehensible that Gannon is getting interviews for a second year in a row, meanwhile Lou Anarumo is still flying completely under the radar. The NFL is so weird sometimes.

The production of one's unit is only part of it. The main interest is vision, leadership skills, how they get along with ownership, and how they view a team's current roster and if it aligns with what the front office wants. Gannon must be very attractive in some of those areas.
