The contract given to Zeke was the egregious mis-step for the Turds.  The alternative to extending Dak was to start over at the position.  DAL already had Tony Pollard on the roster for 2 years when they threw money at Zeke.

Good point.

Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

And they have an extra 1st and 4th next year.

Yep. And they're in a weak division overall with TEN on the downslope, the Jaguars at a slightly better than .500 (though I expect them to be much better next year), and the Colts. They could become the top of that division in a year or two with the right leader in place.

Wonder if this changes how they approach the offseason and try to get in on Rodgers or Brady.

Probably a good idea to retire. Didn't get the mega contract like Luck before he retired but Tua has had too many concussions too close to each other

I'm not telling him what to do with his career but he should inform himself. Have a couple long conversations with Eric Lindros and Jim McMahon. (or similar early retirement and long term broken people)

Yesterday rumors were him and Denver. With Quinn out and Payton out, wonder where Denver goes with their coach.

The Meyer hiring was stupid, but the Jags owner is a minority himself, so is he racist for not hiring a minority coach? No, he just made a bad choice.

Not sure if it's what you intended, but the implication here is that minorities aren't vulnerable to the same biases or prone to engage in similar types of discriminatory behavior. Which is of course false, especially when the two people in question come from entirely different cultures/backgrounds.

What's the you only need 3 people to take over the world line in reference to?

All this is going to lead to is teams being bullied into hiring lame duck coaches that they fire a year later(and then get criticized for that too) like Lovie Smith.

There's nothing wrong with inequities as long as they aren't driven by discrimination. Not every company, organization, or institution is going to have evenly divided employees by their ethnicity. Nor should they. It shakes out how it shakes out. The number of applicants per demographic and the quality of candidates per demographic is going to be ever-shifting.

America's obsession over race has broken peoples brains to see race discrimination in any inequity, no matter if there is any actually going on. There are some grifters like Ibram Kendi(who gets hired tens of thousands of dollars to promote toxic rhetoric like anti-capitalism ironically, and other crazy nonsense) that flat out say "Any inequity is proof of racism and if you disagree you're a racist." A kafka trap essentially.

The NFL has been a league where winning trumps all. Teams will sign literal ex-cons and people with questionable character because it helps them win, without any regard for skin color. But somehow people think when it comes to coaches, then all of a sudden organizations start discriminating. If Mike Tomlin was fired, he'd be hired within the hour.

I don't want the discussion to devolve into a political discussion but there's a factual and indisputable recent history of white supremacy in the United States that has created generational inequities. If people were interested in factual history instead making our history pristine and mythical, we would better understand the issues of today.  It's not a solution to call everything racist but it's not a solution to ignore the past.

There will be a defensive score in the game.

My guess would be David Shaw with the Condoleeza/Stanford connection there.

Devastating news. Let’s hope this is coming from DeMeco’s agent trying to force the Broncos to make their decision.

Were Texans the only team that was interviewing Gannon?

I'm surprised the Cardinals didn't bother interviewing Steichen after seeing what he did with Hurts and what he could similarly do with Murray.

@HazletonEagle @eagle45

Been dealing with a pinched nerve for over a month, been doing physio for 4 weeks with no improvement (physio thinks C7-T1); had my GP put in MRI requisition and got an appointment for tonight at midnight (which is unheard of here for turnaround times).

Is there any issues with me getting high beforehand? I’m not claustrophobic in anyway so that’s not an issue.
