Getting ready to walk out the door to head to the stadium. Same thing I said five years ago....when I get home, I'm either going to be really depressed or extremely jubilant. Later gents.

Is it just me, or does Jalen Carter look like he's in his mid forties in this pic?

So that leaves Harbaugh (doesn’t seem likely), Payton, a last ditch effort at Ryans or someone else.

Those going to the game today better be ready to give Niners fans some serious heat from beginning to end.  I want to a**hole cheers any time one of those **** stands up.  I want to see double birds in their faces all day.  Refuse to sit down no matter how many times that crabby old man behind you says "down in front."  Do your part!!

 @vikas83 @HazletonEagle

@vikas83 doesn’t sit with the poors

Finally got the Samsung sound bar and subwoofer hooked up to the 75” Samsung TV last night.   I was up until 3 am trying to get the wireless subwoofer to link to the sound bar.  Wouldn’t connect.   After about an hour of "cuss words” and resets - it finally worked around 3 am.  😂

Should be nice for the game today.  :Eagle_smiley:

He turned down a Senior Bowl invite to train and drink? Amazing.

Give him a break, he’s going through midlife crisis

Get the sauce in the store.  Really good, not just on wings.  It’s great as a sauce for pasta.

yep, trash wings, great sauces.  Not sure how many people have Aroogas around but you can get their sauce in stores too.

What’s everyone having for the game today?

I’m keeping it simple - Buffalo Wings & Stella

I just went on an hour walk to help pass the time and try to clear my head (didn't work).  Now setting up the beer and a couple of super nice Chiantis I bought in Tuscany in October plus I picked up a new batch of nice green.  English friend coming over in about an hour and a half.  He's become a full on Eagles fan over the last 20 years and he's watched half the games with me this year and others on his own.  We will warm up with some NFL music and some Eagles highlights.

So, question for the Bloggers, what are you going to do between now and kickoff to keep from going crazy?

About to sit down to a breakfast of French Toast, bacon, cheese grits, and fresh squeezed orange juice from just-picked oranges from one of our two trees

I think it’s essential that the Eagles hit on their two 1st rounders this year because pretty soon it’s going to be hard for Howie to keep winning free agency. Getting Davonta on a second contract will be tough.

I think, and I could be wrong, when Smith is up for his extension falls around the same time that AJ Brown is going to 100% need a restrtucture.

DeVonta Smith's 5h round option is in 2025.  In 2025, AJ Brown's cap hit goes from $12 million to $26.5 million and then $41.5 million.  There's no way he ever sees that money.

So do they look to extend Smith before his 5th year option in 2025?  When do they restructure AJ Brown?

I think keeping them together longterm is vital to this offense.

The only problem with this is that you’re taking Goedert off the field to get Greenlaw out… and exchange Pascal v Janorus Jenkins/depth CB matchup. Might be a fair tradeoff, but not a no-brainer.

I think it’s a no brainer. Goedert and Greenlaw might be a wash talent wise, but tactically it makes a world of difference. With the box cleared of LB congestion, and the safeties deep to deal with with WRs relentlessly running deep routes, we suddenly have 5OL v their DL and Warner in the run game. That means we get the numbers advantage in the run game and can use Warner’s speed against him. Put him in no win situations where he covers Sanders out of the backfield and then Hurts runs up the middle. Or the old Kelly option stuff.

It’s a way to scheme the 9ers out of their run defense.

Sweat was mic'ed up the game he had his neck injury

Or… hit on a WR in the draft and trade Davonta next offseason 😵

Wings, baking powder method.

Pat them and then toss the wings in dry rub with baking powder.  Bake in low, 250.  About 39 mins.   Them pull them out, preheat the oven to 450 and then bake them again.  Turn them over halfway through.  Then toss with sauce.

The first bake time renders out all of the fat under the skin which usually keeps the sauce from sticking to the wings.

This isn’t the exact same as frying them, but it’s the best way to try and replicate it.

Yep.  I used to make them in a similar way.

I have an air fryer now and usually just season them and air fry @ 400 for 45-50 min.  Let them rest for about 5 minutes then toss them in the sauce.

Took me a while to figure out how to get them crispy - started at 30-35 min air fry and didn’t work until I left them in there for 45 -50 minutes - turning them halfway though.  That’s the larger sized wings.  Smaller ones probably take less time.

Nah it takes away too much for our run game, which we will need today. DG pressures the safties as well and is a valuable blocker

Chicken wings

Since we’re talking game food, I’ll admit I’m being lazy and will order delivery.

I’m thinking maybe a crab cake sandwich… I know, not very Philly, but I’m kind of in the mood.

We’re not trading a young and talented WR that just broke the WR catch record and went over 1000 yards in just his second season.

The chances of hitting on another WR in the draft that would replicate that is slim (maybe a 5% 10% chance) and we’d lose the draft pick on top.

zero chance that happens

See, I think it actually opens up the run game and puts more pressure on their vulnerable DBs when we go deep.
