Let’s hope the franchise’s collective effort went into the game plan and not the national anthem singer selection.

The average hit rate in the NFL is 50% for first round picks and it goes down from there. Howie has rebuilt this team in large part through the draft: Hurts, Sanders, Smith, Dickerson, Goedert, Sweat, TJ, Maddox, Quez, etc. and that’s even ignoring the older guys he drafted like Graham, Cox, Kelce, Johnson, Seumalo…

Again, Howie is above average at the draft. This isn’t Madden football. If you bat 30% you’re well above average.

Hopefully Hurts plays better than his favorite singer sung the anthem

Kelce and Lane are sort of ancient history at this point.

Of the quality guys on this team, we’ve got Hurts, Dickerson, Sweat, Mailata, Devonta, Sanders.  That’s better than his resume used to look.

Interestingly though…the players obtained through other means…Slay, Bradberry, CJGJ, Epps, AJ Brown, Hargrave.  

I’d say, on the NFL bell curve, he’s crushing other GMs with the FA/trades additions and closer to the pack with the draft.
