Wait...if he continues to play at or around his current level? So do you think hes going to get healthier over time as he continues to run 17 times in games? Hes missed time in both of his two full seasons....and hes injured during the worst possible time to be hurt...the playoffs. What we are saying is he CANT continue to play at his current level. He has to get better. Otherwise yeath, he'll have a shorter career.

As long as he gets us to the playoffs then who cares how banged up he is right? Did someone say MVP??? High five team Hurts.

Throwing shoulder at that. I guess when you like him running that's a secondary injury

I remember when everybody was freaking out about Sanders before the season started because he "was already hurt" and "hammy injuries linger all season" and "he always gets hurt" etc...

Just because he (Hurts) missed a game last year and was held out of two this year is of little concern to me regarding his durability. Players play hurt. Nobody was freaking out last year because our prize rookie was wearing an elbow brace all season or that Kelce was as well. When Lane Johnson announced he would put off surgery on his abdomen, people praised his toughness. But when Hurts gets hurt, heaven forbid he should play when it's something he proved he could play through. I don't for a minute think Jalen won't be 100% for the playoff game. You guys are panicking just like the people that were doing that about Sanders' training camp  "soreness." He'll be fine. He might even get a different injury in the playoff game and guess what --- he'll probably play through it too.

Funny you bring up a running back first in this argument when that's the literal reason we worry about hurts....rbs tend to get injured and miss more than QBs .... Jalen plays like he is both

Yeah he played through that ankle injury last year vs TB in the playoffs and look how that turned out for him. We saw how bad he was vs the Giants on Sunday. But as long as he plays through it huh.

I dont understand how you think Jalen running 11 times per game is an okay thing. He has gone into the playoffs hurt 2 years in a row now BECAUSE he runs so much. As an Eagles fan how is this a good thing looking at it from a longevity point of view? How can you look at his game and say hes going to put us in the best position to win a Superbowl year in year out for 10 years when he cant go into the playoffs healthy. Do you honestly think all the hits he has taken and will take, wont take a toll on his body for 10 years??? Wear and tear is a real thing and Jalen is going to experience it just like Cam did. He has to change his play style and needs to consistently win games with his arm.

I don't have a problem with his game. I'm not biting my nails because of "what ifs." I'm looking forward to watching how it all plays out, because it's exciting to me. People have said a lot of things about Jalen and what he wouldn't be able to do. He has continually proved them wrong. The only thing left is the "it's not sustainable" argument. It's sustainable if a person is durable.

Let me know how much his shoulder hurts you when the playoffs start.

Nobody is durable enough to play the position long term that style. I get it, you are thickheaded and live in the moment. I, who had little respect for his game going into this season, want to see him have a longer and more productive career than you, one of his biggest supporters. Times have changed

No outrage here. Just concern that he's limping into the playoffs two years in a row

So no one is concerned that Hurts has 3 ints and 0 tds in his last two games?

Nope. We win when he plays. He's our only hope right now (because we released Carson Strong...LOL).

No because is not a correct statement unless in some bizarre world rushing touchdowns don’t count as actual ones.

Crazy that he’s made it to the playoffs two years in a row. Who was the last Eagles starting quarterback to do that I wonder? 🤔🤔🤫🤫🤫

You limp from a shoulder injury? Another take is that the guy is tough with high pain tolerance and he just won the game to secure the #1 seed but, I know, for many , he didn't do it right.

The real concern is if the shoulder is a chronic condition. He has shown this season that he can ball. The coaches need to evolve their schemes more than he has to evolve his game, at this point, IMHO.

Limp is an expression for going in injured. I know you are smart enough to figure that one out.

I said in post earlier I hope this is his highest running season for the remainder of his career because he proved he can do damage from the pocket. I've been probably his biggest doubter, but have long conceited the fact he has grown enough as a thrower to be a long term solution at QB. The scheme will adjust to Hurts just like it has the last two years. What we seen this year is what he is good at at this point

Probably #5 if you don't count Wentz for 18 which I don't

So, you know for a fact his shoulder isn't already 100% let alone won't be by the time we play another game? I understand how important it is for you to have a QB play your way, but the injury happened over 3 weeks ago. He played with it after it happened. The Eagles thought they could win one of the next two games without him and  held him out to ensure he didn't reaggravate it while it healed. He was cleared and played last Sunday with the instructions to not take chances. He didn't take any risky hits and has an additional week to get ready for his next game. But somehow, he's "limping" because ... because you need that for a narrative. He's fine --- which is why he was cleared and why he played after two weeks off.

Forget short term for a moment. If Hurts is continually injured in December (similar to Lamar), how much are you willing to give him big money? If he’s unavailable or ineffective come December/January….that’s a big time problem

He played hurt and looked it.... It's fine if he plays that physical style. He'll find himself replaced as quickly as the guy before for not adjusting to the league. It's not a narrative, it's fact. Sad his fans are so damn blind to the fact he won't last very long. Ask Lamar and Kyle how it's working out for them

So it’s been a long time. That’s the point. We shouldn’t assume some next guy is going to do what hasn’t been done since basically the early 2000s.

Some guys would rather go hunting and fishing while some guys go to work. Our guy goes to work and that’s a good thing.

I’m actually going in [to the facility] with Jalen. I know the coaches are off but Jalen said, ‘Hey, let’s watch the tape tomorrow.’ I said ‘You got it.’ He wanted to work and move on. So, at 12 o’clock, me, him, [offensive coordinator] Shane [Steichen], and [quarterbacks coach] Brian Johnson are going to watch the tape together in there. So, a couple of us are working, but everyone else needs to have that time off.

Nick Sirianni on Hurts after he gave the team off for winning the bye.
