We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

Eli Ricks at Corner would be a good UDFA pick up.  Another Alabama product.  I woul also take ani jury flyer on TCU’s Noah Daniels as. UDFA.

Cook, Hunt, Eckler, Swift, Henry. More than enough successful backs available. I love Bigsby, but I'd use the picks elsewhere and get a RB via FA/trade

I think hunt makes the most sense cause it’s not going to cost you anything. He’s a FA and he’s gonna be cheap. Plus they were reportedly interested in him last year. I think they likely told him there’s a chance we come calling after the draft if things don’t fall our way in the draft in terms of RB.

I think cook goes to Miami. Been a lot of smoke.  Ekeler wants a new big deal so i don’t see that and giving up compensation. Henry i think if released there’s a chance. Swift has the same issues as penny. He’s always hurt and not reliable. Great talent when healthy. Not sure you want 2 injury prone backs and have to give up something to acquire swift.

also like tank bigsby. Another kid i like is Israel Abanikanda

Howie already nailed this draft?

@EazyEaglez @Bwestbrook36

Howie does little to nothing, but teams were so afraid he would take one of these backs they let two really talented players fall right into his hands. Howie has definitely nailed the art of fooling the other guy.

can he punt and play slot while corner? I mean, that fits your mold...

this guy was on the Georgia Defense in 2021, with all the rest of them.

This one almost never played while at Georgia.   5 years there with some stats, but very few.

And then, a year at Michigan State, and while there he did play and did have a lot of tackles.

For a CB,  he's tall 6033,  heavy 209,  and fast 4.34.  The rest of his numbers aren't as good as those 3.   mock draft database has him as a udfa 454.

The theme seems to be to recreate the 2021 Georgia defense, he was on that defense, and it looks like he'd be a udfa, maybe he's on the practice squad.   6'3 209 corner who runs 4.34 is pretty rare. Can't think of too many players who are both 6'3 or taller and 4.34 or faster.  And most wouldn't be available as udfas.

It's pretty easy to find ex Georgia defense players just by looking at this
https://ras.football/   and sorting by Georgia.

The Eagles might want
Kelee Ringo CB or https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=19977&ovl=Georgia
Robert Beal DE  https://ras.football/ras-information/?PlayerID=23267&ovl=Georgia

in terms of versatile,  the maxpreps has Speed running outside for a TD on his highlight video.

If we trade up, please be for Torrence.

If we stay, then pick BPA at OL, DB, or RB.

There are Cowboys fans saying our first round is terrible because we didn't address our aging OL... despite having four pieces in place for the next few seasons.

😂😂😂

I think the next pick definately OL

I’d like to see us get a decent safety with 66. Branch probably not there, but I like Antonio Johnson

I have to wonder if they can move Derek Barnett. He's completely expendable at this point.

Was thinking same thing. Is the Barnett era over?   I would think so.

As much sense as picking Torrence makes … and it makes a whole lot of sense … I think picking Tippmann makes even more sense. Both are man mountains at 6’6” and 313 vs. 6’5” and 330. But the positional versatility of Tippmann is an added dimension that Torrance does not have.

Don’t know how they do it. Only way that makes sense is if the eagles trade Barnett as post June 1st. Then they only have a 1.97 mil in dead money and save 1.13 mil. If they cut him post June 1st it’s $3.057 mil dead money and 58k cap space. If they just cut him pre June 1st it’s $10.2 mil dead money and $7.15 mil cap hit. And a pre june 1st trade also doesn’t help as it’s $9.19 mil dead money and $6.076 mil cap hit. (Using overthecap but Leanmeangm and i have had this convo before I’m not sure who has his contract correct cause spotrac has it differently)

not sure anyone is gonna want to trade anything for Barnett but maybe a injury happens in training camp

Safety and OL today would be nice.

Here is my wish list for 62 and 66

Joe Tippmann

o’Cyrus Torrance

Julius Brents

Cody Mauch

DJ Turner

Tucker Kraft

Drew Sanders

Then if Howie can swing a trade for a 4th round pick using his 2024 pick stash and/or Barnett and/or Watkins

Blake Freeland

Tyjae Spears

Zach Kuntz

Dorian Thompson-Robinson

And with the two 7th round picks target

Eli Ricks

Andre Carter

Andre Iosivas

Andrew Vorhees

Jake Witt

Finally, as UDFAs sign

Derius Davis

Noah Daniels

Bryce Baringer

Adam Korsak

The last Eagles first round pick to not play for Georgia or Alabama was Jalen Reagor.

Jalen Reagor was so bad he made Howie say F it, I'm only getting guys from the top programs and conferences from here on out.  Maybe deep down, Reagor did serve a purpose.

Wonder if there's any juice on trading up in the 2nd now. Still a lot of good players on the board.

If they use some of their mid-round picks from next year to move up, I'm all for it.  I think they will move down from 66, even if just a few picks to get a 4th/5th rounder.

Who are your DE's then? Graham, Sweat, and ...

Prediction.  Nolan Smith #0.

Reddick and Smith

Reddick and Smith

Those are your stand up rushing LBs. In a 3-4, typically, the DE's main responsibility is to stop the run. The DEs on the Eagles are pushing 260+lbs while Reddick and Smith are 240ish lbs.

I think the Eagles organisation will be good for Carter. Sirianni is a good man manager and genuinely cares about the players. Carter probably needs an arm round the shoulder at this point and the senior players like cox, BG and reddick, even Hurts will help his development immensely.

The Georgia connect will be massive for these young guys. Really smart drafting!

Imagine Nolan Smith falling to us at 30 that would be wild.

Imagine no more...

I like both picks; got concerns over Carter and there is a very much a risk/reward to the pick but the kid is very, very talented - be interesting to see how his contract is worded.  Smith, very pleased to get him at 30.  The presser from Howie/Siri was well done for the players; the leaders in his new org are out there fighting for Carter already.

Did the Lions leave a draft sim on autopick?  Such a strange draft

Better do some work now 🤣
