$23.2m is a bargain in today's NFL.  I don't know that it means that he's their QB "for a long time".  It's a gamble that he can learn to stay healthy and be a good NFL QB.

That's my coach right there!  But I'd pass on the tequila shots.  No hangovers for me, thanks.

We took out more trash this weekend. Publicly harassing VA (who saved the EMB and is trying to focus on the technology, marketing & ad revenue) will not be tolerated. Taking a fun football me

You and I will have to agree to disagree.  Carson’s career has failed because of his inability to be the same QB either physically or mentally after his injury.  The mental part is the more important of those two, but both are important contributors to his failure/fall.

JMO

The mental part is that he is a head case.  Uncountable and is unlikely by his teammates everywhere he goes.  He never had the mental intangibles and leadership that Jalen has.  You keep trying to push this idea that the Eagles shouldn't give Jalen a new contract and that moving on from him could be a better idea.  It's just not a reasonable take.

Man, that's racist.  There has to be a Seahorn comp out there somewhere .....

Mullen is an absolute slap to the face to Porter Jr.

Dude was traded for a 7th, waived, claimed, waived, claimed again 2 months ago

The Eagles probably looked at the logs of the chat and we’re horrified by what they saw.

I will follow the channel. Can you upload a single 4,000 hour long video and I’ll watch it? I can even double the speed it plays and get it done in 3 months.

A 4,000 hour video would take forever to process then upload lol.

What you can do though, is go to the channel and just let some of the old chat test videos run. They're 4 or 5 hours long each. Just open it in a separate browser and let it run.

It somehow became trendy to hate on Porter. Crazy. Hes gonna be really, really good.

A lot of haters. I don’t get it.

I'm a big Porter fan but I think the one thing going against him is how one of his biggest strengths is his playing style and playing bump and run up on the WR.  That's not going to fly in the NFL so part of his strength is being taken away.

I didn't get that from his posts

"Against a litany of first-round wide receivers, Porter allowed just 45 yards on 73 coverage snaps across the two games. He erased Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr. on a number of routes as well.”

Yet some have decided to be the smartest person in the room and find some flaw in his game to stand out.

I cant count how many times I said "Sirianni always looks hungover" to schmoopie.  This confirms my suspicions.

Id love to have Griffin, and draft Witherspoon or Gonzalez

But Id also be happy with Sutton who will be cheaper yet.

And I wouldnt mind rolling dice on Amani Oruwariye because he was another good Penn State CB.

At LB sportrac says Kyzir White's market value is 8.5M, but Elandon Roberts is 2.4M. Go get him instead. Okereke is only 2.3.

It also has Rashan Evans cheaper than TJ Edwards. And Germaine Pratt an even bigger discount. Drue Tranquill even cheaper yet. Go get any of those guys instead.

As backups to Reddick, Im really interested in Okoronkwo. Been wanting him since his draft. As well as Caden Ellis. He had 7 sacks, and 10 QB hits from the LB position in New Orleans with just 590 snaps, playing all 17 games. A productive LB pass rusher in a part time role.

@TEW has mentioned this before.  One may argue it's a flawed, nihilistic approach...but if great offenses can't be stopped, then build a great offense, go cheap on D, and build an opportunistic D.

If they can't stop a great QB when it counts (and there's almost no way our D will be able to do that next year), then they might as well be able to take the ball away in a huge spot.  (See our SB championship).

That's as much schematic, if not more so, than personnel.  Amazing offense and a high turnover defense.  I'm less and less into the "eliminate the big play" philosophy.  It's certain death by a 1,000 paper cuts and it keeps our elite offense off the field.  Hit the QB, intercept the football, or get our offense back on the field after a quick score.

I'm not saying I 100% buy into this, but in the decisive moments against great QB's this year and last, it felt like it would be an improvement.

100% this.

To the extent that you build the defense, it should focus on "splash” plays. Turnovers, sacks, TFLs, batted passes.

It’s one of the reasons I covet Forbes in the draft. 6 INTs, 3 of which he took to the house. Is he going to get flattened in the run game on occasion? Yes.

But his length and ball skills can probably win you a couple extra games per season vs replacement.

And yet, hasnt it been said that Dessai allows more of that press man at the line? He seems like a fit here.

Oh, I'm on board with you.  I'd love him here.

Based on excellent coverage ability with no ball skills, I made the Leodis McKelvin comp.

I think he is an even better, more physical McKelvin.

We loved Sheldon Brown who wasnt an INT guy. If he is good enough in coverage, I can live with it.

The Sheldon to our Lito. Who would be Lito?

It's not just the posts from today.  This has been ongoing from him since the Super Bowl.  He is clearly in the corner where he doesn't believe the Eagles should give Hurts a new deal.

Hope Lurie provides a ride service for Nick.  Kudos for drinking the tequila not shooting it.

Sportrac has Jamaal Wiliams at 4.1M market value and Foreman at 3.4. I assume Fournette will be cheap.

If we can have one or 2 of them, with Gibbs in the draft... Thunder and lightning.

Here we go again with your deep philosophic rants on an NFL message board. I don't care if I'm right or you're wrong. I just want to make sure you are comprehending what I'm saying.

Carry on - you have work to do moving the discussion along as our resident message board traffic officer.

And I just want to make sure you are comprehending what @Thrive was saying.  Time’s yours.

Eagles have Sweat, Graham, Barnett and Robinson at 4/3 DE. Doubt they are playing a 3/4 but rather a 5/2 modified 4/3.  Fair amount of 4i.

Agreed.
