I've been busy preparing for my new low key chill gig as the chairman of body armor.

I had to notify my job I quit. Hand in my badge and computer,  keys,  etc.

Listing the house. 

Waiting for my signing bonus to hit the bank account. Have my eye on a place in Belize. Figure I'll be working remote a lot.

Look at this consistency. My main concerns with him are his slipping average, and him getting older. But like.
 

Yikes. Some names on that list. And he's done it with several different QBs too. I didn't hear he had attitude problems though, care to update me on that?

And he wanted to be traded at the deadline, and the Texans didn’t do it. Had a pretty cryptic tweet to the point they took away his captains patch. Missed the eagles game due to "personal reasons” it was cause of not being dealt. 

like you said, the two things that concern me with him is that he is getting older. He’s gonna be 31 this year. Secondly, his yards per catch have gone down since the first half of his career. They were usually pretty close to 15 to 16 yards after his rookie season. Over the last 2 years it’s been 11.5 and 12.3. Obviously, I think some of that is the quarterback play and playing on the Texans. 

still solid move to get cooks for that price and take a chance. They paid Gallup last year. Unless Gallup returns to form this upcoming year that contract doesn’t look good. $13 mil cap hit in 2024 and if he stinks again they’d have to post June 1 cut him to have any real savings. They are stuck with him this year cause a pre June 1st doesn’t save them money it actually hurts them. I reiterate he was not good last year. However if he does that’s a dangerous trio if he returns to form.

Carolina getting Thielen isn’t a bad thing at all for that WR room & their new QB, but there’s no way he’s worth that money. Bad teams gotta overpay

If Cooks is worth $12.5M per year Thielen is easily worth just over $8M.

That’s a good deal for the lions. CJGJ signing that is pretty ridiculous. I thought he’d get more than that. He must think the market will be better next year. 

Would have much preferred allocating that money to CJGJ over Cox. But have no idea what negotiations or market was like at the time, all hindsight

The fact that’s all he got tells me he overplayed his value on the market. And he didn’t strike when the iron was hot on the first couple days of FA when he probably could’ve gotten at least a little more than that for a multiyear deal.
