Don't think it's babysitting.  Some people just bring the best out of other people.

If Desai is committed to using Nolan across from Reddick on base downs in a 5-1/3-4 and conserving Sweat for 4DL/known passing situations then I'm fine with him at 10 (as he'll have an early opportunity for volume snaps that align with his skillset, otherwise he's just bumping Patrick Johnson on the depth chart imo).  Kancey or the Needle at 30 would be nice, but I'm not looking for them inside the top-20.  Gonzalez is CB1, and I don't know a ton about Stevenson.

Tbh i think smith if we stay at 10 and someone like Carter doesn’t fall is most likely the guy. My gut feeling is if we stay at 10 it’s coming down to choosing between smith, van ness, Paris johnson Jr, jones or skoronski (tend to think Carter, Williams, Wilson, Witherspoon and Gonzalez are all off the board if we stay at 10). Imo down to smith, skornski and Johnson. I tend to think Johnson or skoronski are gonna go at 9. So if it’s skoronski i think eagles believe they can find another good guard at 30 or second round whereas harder to find what smith offers and can be at 10

"I found wisdom on a message board", greend

Two weeks from Howie making it happen, the blog crushing him for it all summer and then having egg on their face the rest of Jalen's illustrious career here just like another Jalen that Howie drafted.

It will be tough for Howie and Sirriani to decide because Jalen Carter doesn't love ball buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut his name is Jalen... Oh the dilemma

Witherspoon>Gonzalez in my opinion.

Who said he doesn't love ball?  Because he drag raced?

Skoronski would be a waste of a pick at 10.  I just don't see him having the ability to play OT.  Jones or Johnson at 10 would be fine because I would trust Stoutland to be able to get the most from either.  I would prefer Smith to Johnson or probably Jones just because he's a physically unique player with seemingly good character. I don't think there's a problem fitting him into the defense.  He gives them speed and flexibility at OLB.  I am not really that sold on Van Ness as a prospect.  My hope is that Murphy is a possibility at 10 over Van Ness.

I think they make up tier 1, but giving up 20-30lbs to some of these pro-WR can be a problem.

Skoronski depends on what Stoutland thinks of his ability to play tackle long term. I think he could definitely play guard at a high level. Based off how Fran Duffy was talking about him in the interview with Bo Wolf I’d tend to think from what Duffy has heard he believes tje Eagles think he could play guard, center and tackle at a high level. when he was talking about skoronski he wasn’t excluding some of what he’s heard from the coaching staff, and around the eagles organization. Personally i tend to like Paris johnson more than most and skoronski.

He was the most productive player in the history of the League. The League being the AAF.

I remember Jim Brown called it on him not being a good people RB when he was coming out of the draft and most the internet attacked Jim Brown for it.

He punches well above weight. For a CB he's a spectacular hitter. I think he mirrors better as well with looser hips. He would be a Philly favorite for a decade.

Clearly Paul Turner

We are really interested in adding a second NT type. Unlike Mazi Smith, he doesn’t seem to have any upside as a rusher.

Maybe Fran is saying what Howie wants him to say? I would not be shocked if Skoronski is the pick.  I do think the Eagles will look at o-line.  I am just not sold on him as an OT.  He's also doesn't have unique physical traits that are necessarily harder to get in later rounds. He's a shorter OT with short arms.  He doesn't seem to physically dominate players at the point of attack but moves very well.  I am sure he could fill in for Lane Johnson as a spot starter but I don't see him as an OT of the future.  Maybe the Eagles don't either but just like him better than the other prospects.   I think Paris Johnson would make a lot of sense.  He reminds me of Tra Thomas.  I also think Jones is a better pick.   Jones is physically dominant and he has elite athletic traits with longer arms.

Would Bijan help the defense get off the field with the game tied and less than 5 minutes on the clock?

He’d help keep the defense on the sideline with 5 minutes left churning east first downs up the field. So yes. Look around the league man. Nobody is winning super bowls 13-10. Make no mistake, that is the target and it’s realistic. Our OL is, for now, elite. Put two studs behind it and watch the magic. That’s where I come out. I don’t see a path to cheap, elite rb play for Hurts’ prime as obviously laid out as BR. We’re not teasing and paying a guy 10M.

When you buy a youtube subscription,   do you get the internet for free, too?

The way it seems to work now and 20 years ago, is that you paid for the internet, and you looked for websites.   Today,  you pay for internet, and Nflbite is free.

Sunday ticket is something you gave money to directv for. Direct tv provides tv, using a satellite dish, and no internet is required with that. You buy directv,  they give you nfl games, and hundreds of tv channels.  And the hardware to get those games and those channels.   Directv is doing something like beaming content through the skies. And some people still pay for that.  It is tech that works, sorta.

Most of the time I see football on tv, it's on a tv station, there are commercials, etc.  Like normal since before I was born.   Same games,  games that somebody else is paying announcers to announce and crews to broadcast.  None of that is youtube and none of that was directv.  It was nbc, abc, cbs and fox in some combination for decades.       Everything that youtube is asking money for is something that some people somewhere in the US are getting for free over the airwaves with their digital tv antenna.

You didn't need satellite to have Sunday Ticket

Not surprised they met with Mazi, but I agree Ika is not a pass rusher by trade. Would much rather see Kancey, Adebawore, Smith, etc. if they go DT again...or Carter.

If I had to rank the potential OL choices with a high chance of availability at 10, I put Skoronski behind Johnson, Jones, and Wright. He's a G only, based simply on his silhouette. Now, he could be a REALLY good G, but taking that at 10 would be highly underwhelming.

The Panthers ran a pretty good scheme with two huge DTs and two speed rushers coming off the edge (Burns and Reddick.) They didn't get many sacks from their DTs, but if they can put teams in passing situations, the bigger guys can come off the field in favor of Williams and Cox.
