You sound like a young Violet Bick.

Are you saying I am pregnant and need an abortion?

What NFL team would get the biggest upgrade going full time from their current uniforms to one of their retro uniforms?

(excluding the Eagles kelly green)

I'll cheat. The Texans should buy the rights to the Oilers back from the Titans and get rid of their awful name, logo, etc.

The color of the helmet is nice.  I'm not sure whose 6-year-old drew the lion, though.

That's their logo from back in the day. 60's or 70's I think.

Ive Got

Hurts 3

Watters 2

Brown 3

Owens 5

Celek 2

Hurts $3

Westbrook $4

Celek $2

TO $5

Barnett $1

I actually think a prime Alshon and DeSean would be a crazy combo.

How is the No answer winning this?  Embarrassing sports town sometimes.

While I personally would make that trade, the city has fallen a bit in love with Maxey.

I'm sure some will be surprises by this.  People were saying he'd be on the hot seat which I always felt was foolish. They had a two decade drought of making the playoffs prior to McDermott.   You don't just toss your best HC since the early 90s because you haven't won a Super Bowl yet.

Violet Bick (not sure you got the somewhat obscure reference) was not pregnant.

Why would he be on the hot seat?

Apparently i didn’t get the reference.

You know the internet. I had no idea who Violet Bick was. Here is what came up when I put Violet Bick into Google.

Why did Violet leave Bedford Falls?

During the scene when Violet asks George for money, she's emotionally distraught but won't tell George what was wrong, and kept insisting she needed to leave town. It's very likely that she had just found out she was pregnant and felt that she needed to get an abortion as soon as possible.

Right character, wrong point in the movie.

As a child, aka a 'young Violet Bick', she has a conversation with a young Mary.  Mary says, "You like all the boys."  Violet responded, "What's wrong with that?".   Hence @FranklinFldEBUpper's comment to you.

Because the Bills have failed to advance to the Super Bowl and were dreadful in the playoffs last year.  I don't agree with it but fact is there have been many online around the NFL Fandom that have speculated in the Bills Mayne getting rid of him.

Well, she did like all the boys, that was kind of the basis of Matt’s conclusion.  In the money giving rescue, when she returns I thought the suggestion was she had done well. Don’t know if Capra was going for successful rescue, professional escort/gold digger or reformed lady (much as George is reformed by Clarence because isn’t George meant to be a reflection of Clarence and the bell ringing signifying an angel getting his wings not just referencing Clarence but also George.  Seems like a lot of that sort of reflection was suggested throughout the movie. Thus a hint of Violet being a reflection of George’s reformation.

How interesting that the quarterback of both the offense and defense are so focused on their academics?  Wonder if there is something in their player potential evaluations because they have a lot of players that did well academically.

Literally?

Cue Inigo Montoya.

That's an odd word choice. Perhaps he meant something else?

This is just depressing.

Don't know of him. He's not a fan of Hurts?

Someone that knows what their physical limitations are, embraces it, and works hard to optimize ability is one of the most secure people in the world. That doesn't even make sense.

Thank you.  I was still wandering in the wilderness even with his clues.  I’m not a fan of that movie.  Unfortunate, but true.

I’m learning more about this movie than I ever wanted to know.

off topic:  my late father-in-law was Jimmy Stewart’s roommate at Princeton.

Sadly... this is what he is.
