Video from 3 years ago, top 100 plays in nfl regular season history as per NFL official throwback YouTube account. Little bit of a troll job for the top 2 in favor of the eagles:

I've seen a few reporters say this year Nakobe Dean needs to stand out and prove he was worth that pick.

I don't necessarily agree. Edwards and White were not standout LBs. They didn't wreck games, they weren't turnover machines. They were solid NFL LBs who were reliable and wouldn't lose you games. If that's what Dean is I'm totally fine with it. Of course I'm hoping for more, especially with how good he was at Georgia, but considering he was a 3rd round pick and not a 1st rounder, if he's just a solid reliable LB who doesn't wow you, but you can count on to do his job, I'm totally fine with that.

Don't trust anyone who says TJ Edwards was good last year. He simply went from bad to playable.

Two different answers.  Which one do I trust?

The a la carte option is tied into something called YouTube Primetime that’s sketch.

I have been to the Corn Palace in Mitchell.  Second to last time I was through Mitchell in 2017, it was night headed to my hotel in Miller, SD.  It was raining, and seemed like muddy water.  Couldn’t keep my windshield clean.  Then I realized I had hit a locust swarm and it wasn’t raindrops and mud, it was locusts splattering my car.  It was Biblical.  Thank the Fates, it was a rental car.

On my return trip passed by the Corn Palace in the morning. (Freeway has grown Mitchell a bit from my earlier days when there wasn’t the interstate). Stopped off at a winery in Vermillon later that day and actually had a shot of South Dakota whiskey.  Who knew?  There’s a winery south of that in Nebraska. Owner names wine after local outlaws.  Last trip with my sister.

You’ll catch Carhenge, on that list, coming south out of the Black Hills region of SD, just over the border a bit, close to Alliance, NE.   I didn’t know about it when I was coming back from the Black Hills with my wife and kids. Then, there it was.  Kind of like stumbling on the file cabinet in Burlington, VT.

Frankly, the only one of those places I targeted seeing was the Spam Museum, which was a family joke because when I first stumbled across it with my wife and kids in tow, they wouldn’t agree to stop.  So headed north out of Wichita on one trip on my own a few years back, I targeted a side trip to Austin, MN.  Worth it for no other reason than the Monty Python exhibit there (and the celebration of Hawaiian love of Spam.)

This is something that’s always been really impressive when you consider the QBs each team has had:

1. Greatest QB who ever lived

2. Other Greatest QB who ever lived

3. Statistically most dominant QB who ever lived

4. 6 starting QBs of varying success over the last decade

5. Baton passed from most prolific statistical QB in franchise history to next most

6. Top 10 QB who ever lived

7. Another Likely HoF QB

8. Statistically most prolific QB in team history passing baton to other most prolific QB

9. Potential HoF QB passing baton to next eventual HoF candidate QB

10. QB who would have made HoF if not injured, then passed baton to QB from 9.

QB factory. Sort of.

And to think only the past few seasons have been attributed to our current QB who will go down as the best in franchise history.  It can't be stressed enough how good of a position the Eagles are in with the rest of the conference not having much at all at QB besides us.  No excuse other than injuries that they don't go on run of multiple consecutive deep season playoff runs for like 3-4 years.

I would like to see Nakobe Dean change his number before the season.  17 just doesn't work for an inside LB.  Grab something in the 50s.

The Eagles sustained offensive success is more due to the philosophy of offensive-minded head coaches.  They went from Andy to Chip to Doug to Nick, and each enjoyed a high degree of success, at first.  Time will tell if Nick can stay ahead of the curve while he gets OC’s poached to other teams.

It’s a horrible nickname.  Do you really want a player who is invisible when the big plays need to be made?

Likewise he could haunt players for weeks with some big tackles

Got an email from Yelp today.  It had the caption "Would You Visit a Museum of SPAM”, so I opened it because, yes I have visited the Spam Museum in Austin, MN.  They had an Article entitled 11 of the Most Outrageous Attractions.  While I don’t think they hit the top 11 in the US by any stretch of the imagination (not even Jesus in cowboy boots was listed), I marveled at the fact that I have seen 8 of the 11. Get off the Interstates and chase the two lane highways and byways in this great country.  You never know what you’ll see.  (For the dead period the next six weeks @eagle45. (I suspect @mattwill and @just relax have seen some of these as well.)

I dunno.  Seeing World's Largest Ball of Twine off 1-70 in Kansas is still higher on my bucket list.

Been there, done that.  Going to my uncle’s 90th birthday celebration with my dad back almost ten years ago.  Left I35 in Wichita towards Salina then over 34 to US281 into Hastings, IIRC.  Pretty common route to my folks home town/county in SD from Houston.  Wasn’t that impressed but pretty sure I had seen it before on the numerous trips that way.

If you are into World’s Largest items and are driving I70, then stop off in Casey, IL where they have a bunch of such items.   (That’s where the World’s Largest Rocking Chair on that list is.).  If instead of staying west on i70 you head south on I44 out of St. Louis towards Tulsa, don’t miss the Uranus Fudge Factory. About as Route 66 schtick as still survives on the interstates today.

Interesting story from Kempski, the Eagles originally called the Saints last year to trade for Justin Evans but couldn’t agree to compensation so they went to plan B and traded for CJGJ instead.

So... what you are saying is that the Eagles never really wanted CJGJ anyway and had to settle.

A lot of teams seemingly dislike CJGJ. Wonder why!
