Phillies better than Braves in October, again

NLDS following same script as 2022

PHILADELPHIA—The big, bad Braves lineup looks overmatched. The pitching depth they boasted about all season is nowhere to be found. The Braves could neither generate much offense nor stop the barrage of homers by the Phillies in Game 3. They appeared rattled by the rowdy, loud crowd at Citizens Bank Park.

I'll be happier reading this sort of thing after a Phils win tonight. The Braves are still a great team. Strider is a very good pitcher. With that being said, Schwarber is due. Lead off HR to set the tone coming our way.

This post made me go back to the WRs from that class.  I'd argue Mims and Hamler might be the biggest relative to draft position.  2nd round draft picks, under 650 yards for their career.  Both are practically out of the league.

It doesn't seem to me that their FO necessarily operates rationally all of the time.  Also, these rumors may be coming from Jeudy's agent and not the Broncos.

Kelce, I would argue, though Hurts is a close second on the Eagles.

Should have probably said "in the first round". Shenault is another one that never lived up to the hype even though he was never a protypical WR.

Wouldn't Ruggs be considered the biggest bust considering his career is over?

Be surprised if they dealt him within the division. I think panthers make the most sense. They keep putting out there they want a young receiver to go with Bryce young. Willing to pay for it

Yeah I wasn’t thinking about them being in the same division.

Fine, I've been busy for a bit and kept forgetting, but I'll go with 30-13 Eagles. Bonus: Sweat with a strip sack

Career is over because he killed someone.  His second year he was on pace for 1,139 yards.

If he wasn't a moron he could be in WR20 conversations today, IMO

Donovan People-Jones was probably the best value.

He was reasonably productive in Jax.  He just kind of fell apart in Carolina.

Think he ends up like Patterson. League doesn't know what to do with him, goes to a team that plays him at RB and he's fine. Don't know why that hasn't happened yet full-time.

6 minutes ago, NCiggles said:

For a high second round pick he never had more than 100 yards in a game and only 7 out of 30 with more than 50 yards in Jax. And then was traded for a 6th and a 7th round picks before his 3rd year.

He's a unique skill set you have to build into an offense, not a guy you can just plug in anywhere to be fair though.

Jets defense is no joke. I think Hurts won’t be as explosive, going to have to take a lot of dink and dunk, gets really tough in the red zone. Jake Elliot 3 FGs all chip shots under 45. Just expecting some slop. Likely going to be a rain game.

if we can’t dominate Zach Wilson idk what kind of hope I have

Thanks for the response.  I'm more optimistic than you are, but your explanation makes sense

The thing that was most interesting about it was/is that it is from the Atlanta Journal/Constitution.

I tend to think if the offers are relatively close they are gonna go with a team outside the division.

No Slay or Evans again
