Why do you think he rumbles more late? Could it be our moving mountains of Oline physically wearing on our opponents all game?

Yes... so again, don't you think our OL is more of a problem than any other issue in this game????

I'm planning to coach my son's basketball team then come home to some good food and watch the game... but do I expect Fangio to plan some stunts, sure.  I like the run blitzes on early downs because it also can force a quick unexpected pass. I think the faster we get to Stafford the shorter the routes for Puka, and advantage us.

It’s a fantastic cat and mouse game going to be taking place between McVay and Fangio

Agree... but as we know... all plans change when you get punched in the mouth.   I just feel McVay is a little short on ammo here.   We are not the Vikings

I love how you are on a first name basis with all the players.... I love Smith vs the run.  Hunt and Huff ( the backups) I don;t think heir run D will be much of an issue.  But lets counter... how do you think the Rams D matches up against our run?   the first game didn't turn out so well IMO for them.  Bigger issue IMO is them stopping our run game, not so much Huff and Hunt vs the run... you see what i'm saying?  The meat of the plays matters more so than the fringe stuff.  Sure they can always break a run because Huff of Hunt messed up... but they need to constantly stop our run game... the numbers work in our favor as far as usage.

To me it’s much more clear if I say Nolan instead of Smith.

You just never know until things happen. Just like an opening KO fumble. If they get that and score a quick TD. We 3 and out. They score on their second drive. Boom…down two scores. Are we mostly just ready to play with a lead? Versatility is what usually defines the great teams.

He loves our OL ... I think as Philly fans we just don't like when an announcer builds up the other team at all... that's their job to build up both sides.

I think he is ok as an analyst ... just the voice... tough to listen to.   not like the old guys.

He’s just pretty annoying all the way around in general to me. Smart guy. Owns PFF we all have ups and downs about

Agree... Hunt and Huff are shorter to type ... similar to Joe vs No Mas    ..however I give you props for Siri and Q

No I wouldn’t. DeJean in the slot. I’m rolling coverage at Puka

In fact, by rule, the Eagles would not be allowed to wear their black alternates or Kelly Green throwbacks in the postseason.

I wasn’t aware. Weird

Teams are only permitted to wear alternative jerseys once in playoff games (except the Super Bowl, where teams must wear their standard uniforms)

Just got this from Internet…not NFL rules or anything …but thought we could

Which is why it made sense to go Midnight first game being optimistic.

So I'm in Buffalo 2019 with my neighbor who is from there.... We won the 1pm game, went into the trailer for some post game soup etc, pretty kool  over there as they let the RVs come in on Friday night to get their spots.    the night game was KC vs GB, but Mahomes was out, still was great game.   The place we went to was like a Bennigans or Applebees... they had bunch of tvs... that SNF game along with the World Series...etc.   They had some good old school music playing so you couldn't hear any of the TVs...was perfect.

Then a dude walks in (dude in a suit on a Sunday night, guy who you would want to give a wedgie, know it all businessman type)  he asks to put the volume up on the football game.. not so nicely either.  He was a local, my assumption a Bills fan because he was pissed at Allen although Allen was young and played well.    Anyway, I told him in Philly we mute Colinsworth ... like a fork on a chalkboard that voice... basically letting him know, he was an arse making them shut off the music.   Everyone agreed, but what can you do.

DeJean pretty much owned Kupp that game... who else you put on Kupp when he is going to be in the slot most of the time.

So lets go... could be only time we can do it... I just think its an awesome look with the whole stadium in that Kelly Green, not just the uniforms.

said 17th overall was the average draft position in 2024

High…but I figured like end of first round high instead. Wonder if the drafting of Corum played a large role in him being valued a bit lower. I mean….17 is high anyway.

OK...

Our OL vs their DL... their OL vs our DL.    they have a nice DL, our OL is the bigger problem.   On the flip side how do they block Carter and company... I'm not expecting domination... but better success than the other DL.

RB vs RB... the question is how close can Williams close the gap

AJ??   We also have Smith... then what about TE... they rely on him a lot, we have Goedert back and looking rested.

Whatever issue you think the Eagles have with the Rams... No disrespect... I just can't see them being more of a problem to our D, than the other way around.  Before even throwing in home field, cold, snow and the rest factor.

They had all that in their favor the first time... look what happened.

I see it as a good matchup for us. But just not coasting by everything. I still see AJ as key. I think he’s nursing a knee holding him back. I’m pretty fine with throwing 50-50 balls his way. Seems like you and others aren’t. Obviously higher risk of a possible turnover.

Yes I do

But there are ways that could be more negated advantage than others. We have that identity of being a physical team that can salt away a lead. But….there are negative possible scenarios. Always are. But they could take the lead and actually thwart our rushing first couple of series. Not like it’s unthinkable we start slow and don’t put up points in the first quarter. McVay really dangerous with that scripted gameplan he’ll be coming out with.

Like what just happened for us. If it went the other way. We get the ball first and turn it over right away. The Rams get an early lead on us plus the ball to start the second half. That would be game development formula for us to fall.

Can Elliott be relied on consistently? At what point do we actually begin to consider the possibility of our season resting on Elliott’s kick at the end?

Vikings v Rams matchup totally different. You know O’Connell was OC under McVay….but I’m not going totally backwards here.

So let’s say something occurs…like happens all the time. We have a T go down or something. We go from great matchup to poor real quick. DROY Verse dealing with our experienced top T….or Fred reaching for his life. Don’t know if you remember….but I kind of highlighted how bad Fred gives ‘tells’. When he’s going to pull…it’s pretty obvious…and so on. If I noticed….well…they noticed.

And you could be like "oh well one bad matchup now” . But him giving a ‘tell’ gives away everything…to everybody. I consider a big deal. On top of just the bad matchup with him getting beat like a drum. Not trying to pick on the backup T. He did his job this season. As long as that’s about all we needed him to do. Now he’s on film….its been seen and exposed. Don’t see him as serviceable as he previously was.
