The D line, now that Reddick left the building is a concern. The LBs are non existent. The CBs are soft…. Maybe a better DC fixes some of these issues. It should be interesting. CJG is not soft. Blank re-signed,he should get better too. We got Huff in here and it's time for last years draftees to step up. Brock Bowers is a generational TE. Don't be shocked if we take him(although we never had a visit with him). Yes this draft will be really interesting with all the deep talent. I expect Howie to do alot of finagling

April 2, 20242 yr Author Brock Bowers first and adding Ainias Smith(top slot WR in this draft) in round 5 would finish this skill player offense and it would be the most potent in the league. Add a RG,maybe an edge and a young CB,S and LB. There is a slew of talent all the way into round 5 where we have multiple picks

White is " non existent"?

I’m feeling pretty sure our first pick will be Oline. Jackson Powers Johnson and Graham Barton are the two I’m seeing as fits that could very likely be there at 22. Then we almost have to take this TE at 50.
April 2, 20242 yr I expect we should be signing Zach Cunningham back at LB. Rosie even congratulated himself for bringing him in last season.
April 2, 20242 yr Amarius Mims is the other guy in contention. He’s like 6’7” 340 pounds. That part alone makes him sound like the guy to man the right side of the Oline.

Except Bowers is a generational TE,you want to pass on that? Bowers at 22 and Beebe at 50 works better for me,then Bullard the S from Georgia. Trevin Wallace-LB at 120. Then get Ainias Smith for the future slot(or he can start but we have Parker and Campbell but Smith can be worked in and be the return guy while he learns). Then Jarrian Jones the CB from FL state
April 2, 20242 yr Author Bowers could be the next Gronk. There is no way I pass that up. The 1/2 TE punch with Godert would basically be indefensible

The chances of him being on the board at 22 are almost nil. If he slips to 22, it’s because of the concerns over the ankle and his durability.

I don’t expect him to still be available at 22…this is correct

Given the draft history with Howie, it’s unlikely that we would draft a DB at 22. At this point, I would put money on Mims or Chop at 22. I would also not be surprised for a trade down.

Depends on how the draft falls and how much Howie wants to move up. It would presumably(with Bowers and Goedert and the WR's we have plus Bark) make this offense indefensible. IDK how you can afford NOT to make this move if you can put an indefensible offense on the field. Teams would have to have the top 2 CB's,the top S,and 2 top LB's to even cope with this

The extra round 2 is basically a free pick or a bargaining chip to move up if we want Bowers. I would look at Latu at 22 if we don't make the move and if we moved back I suspect that would be one of the 2's we have. Still stud players around at 22 and no reason to give that up IMO
April 2, 20242 yr Author https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2024/consensus-big-board-2024 So there is a possibility, seeing this list, that Bowers could fall to maybe 17-18 which is totally doable if we want to make that jump. I doubt he goes at 10 to the Jets they need other major pieces before a TE. Depends how badly other teams need linemen and DB's. If they go there yeah 17-18 is doable,so I can't just rule him out. We'll know soon
