Fundamental football. Convert on 3rd downs on offense. Stop the opponent on 3rd AND 4th downs on defense. No turnovers on O. Get turnovers on D. Score TDs not FGs. WIN in the trenches. Play efficiently and complimentary. THE D Line….not just Carter, needs to play the best game of the season. Hurts plays and play like there is No tomorrow. Let’s go EAGLES!

We got this, not in OUR HOUSE

Is QB3 allowed to go in just for a play here and there or just QB2 only?

QB 3 is emergency... when the other 2 can't play.  So if he goes in, the other 2 are not allowed to go back in

The 3rd QB only goes in when the first 2 can't play.   Or I believe that the rule is once he goes in,the other 2 are not allowed to go back in.   So McKee is not an option in the event you want Hurts to play but just not run the sneak.

But again.   Hurts will run the play.

Guess you missed where I mentioned this scenario so briefly if that we would want to just officially dress McKee for the game. You’re talking about if he’s only Emergency 3rd QB. Which is exactly how they’ve played it with him this season.

There you go....so you are 90% there realizing that McKee is not an option.

Oh…guess you did see it

If he’s Emergency third QB he can’t just come in. He’s not taking away from our numbers if allowed players to dress on Gameday. But….if you use him as part of Gameday allowed players to dress…he can.
So QB3 is allowed to. Emergency QB3 isn’t.

Only if he’s actually Emergency QB. You could officially dress him for the game and utilize him.

No other player can take snap if Emergency QB comes in. Thought that was an interesting tidbit.

They actually changed that part. QB1 or 2 can now come back in when cleared. Like if QB1 was knocked out of the game. QB2 comes in. If he has to go through concussion protocol in the tent? Emergency QB comes in. Once cleared  QB2 can return. But Emergency can only come in to take the snap himself. No STs or anything else.

Correct. I chose to give you the benefit of the doubt and ignore that statement.  Because the idea of activating a player for a QB sneak when Pickett ran it successfully each time.... and then being short a roster spot for someone who would actually play legit snaps...

The idea while technically plausible... is ridiculous.   Ridiculous is the nice word that comes to mind ... so I'm choosing to ignore this statement.  Pretend you never said it...because at worst, you will think about it for a second... and be like " nah, just kidding, I was just spitting out ideas, but they would never do this ridiculous thing "

So if you don't mention it anymore... I'll never bring it up again.   All forgotten.

125 yards and 2 TDs now

It always was just a hypothetical situation to ponder. What’s to get so uptight about?

Correct... this part of I will acknowledge...because you are discussing the rule.

I believe many are in favor of McKee as the straight up backup QB over Pickett in the first place.

Let's ponder using Jake Elliot... nah almost as ridiculous as wasting  roster spot for a QB sneak when you already have a guy active that has successfully executed it...WITH BAD RIBS.

If there was a scenario where you felt Hurts just wasn’t going to be capable…or coach choosing to just not risk, and you gave the nod to Tanner as the second best option on The Brotherly Shove…then could actually even give him that extra boost to get the nod over Pickett as the backup QB.

Would be a great conversation come next August.

The ball rolls into the left field corner... as the batter strolls into second for a stand up double!

Interesting.... the special team coach was asked about Elliot missing extra points compared to FGs...

He mentioned that with FGs there is a build up and he can prepare on the sideline...  vs when there is a big play for a quick TD he has to go right out there and kick the PAT.

I'm curious across the league with the missed kicks ... which we see a decent amount now.... wonder how many came after quick scores or defensive TDs where the kicker didn't have time to prepare?

I’m sure either will get it done if called upon. Part of why I believe there is some debate surrounding things is there never was a competition or chance for the backup QB job position. It was given to Pickett…through trade. Tanner has always shown he can play.

This from a Giants fan giving justification for the team letting Barkley go.

" every year a high paid RB makes the conference championship but never wins a SB...all about the OL" etc.

Well... we shall see... good thing is we have the OL.  And the premise comes with the implication that paying Barkley prevents us from signing other players... he has a small cap hit... we still signed the all pro LB and CGJ to fill in the needs on D, with Becton on O.  So the manner in which Howie signed Barkley, did not prevent anything.  The luck was with getting Baun cheap though,  if we resign him, then it proves the Barkley move didn't hurt our cap.  If he goes,  then it is a valid point.

His unique contract structure calls for his already made $750,000 to turn into $1.5 million, since whatever he earns via incentives this season will also be added to his 2025 base salary as an escalator.

Was reading about this in Barkley’s contract. He was Named First Team All Pro so he earned another 250K bonus incentive. Which adds another 250k more to his 2025 Base salary. He has two more incentives he could possible earn. Very interesting to note that his 250K bonus in all actual purpose is half a million dollars extra he gets.

That’s four half a million dollar chunks Saquan has earned this season already.

Two more on the line: Win NFC Championship game and win the SB
