BTW,not to pry but is your family in Calif ok,more fires breaking out. IDK that much will be left of SoCal. Looks like Hiroshima after the bomb

My cousin is out there,  but she is a little south of everything just north of the airport... these latest fires aren't near her.  But yeah,  when we go out to visit her in a few months it's definitely not going to look the same.

Tough sack. So much not going well for the entire O on this play. Looked like the Rams knew the play basically. Everybody covered. Becton gets pancaked. Hurts wasn’t going to just shimmy Verse like many other defenders.

How does somebody 363 pounds get decleated and go flying so far?

The simulated pressure is obviously tricky. Like we’ve discussed trying to fool others with.

Just how prepared are we for it in the passing game? Doesn’t look like we are very ready to handle it.

Cam and Dallas didn’t practice…we added corresponding backup options to the PS.

We've all moved on to Washington

This is an issue we are going to contend with in both final games I’m sure. But it does seem these teams are getting a bead on some tendencies with us on O.

We also don’t seem to have our pass blocking assignments as ironed out as they’ll need to be. Both playoff games we’ve witnessed a few screwups.

QB 101-get the ball out

Think I agreewith the comment along with the vid….where do you go with the ball?

Gainwell was WIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDEEEEEEE open. What is there to disagree with,Gains was the outlet,he was wide open and the QB doesn't bother to look for him. Simple lack of QB skill. Quick short gain or maybe no gain, but better than taking(yet another) sack

We need to plan ahead by going backwards. It's important we get the "big picture" when we play them next year 😁

QB 101 has to react, needs to make multiple reads fast. The key word is "fast" not just look for read 1. He should know where ALL his receivers are. Gains gave Hurts a window and he doesn't bother to look for him. Maybe he(Gains the guy we should have CUT) breaks that S tackle that is coming up LATE, but even at worst it's no gain. 0 is still better than -8 in all math genres. It's about the QB's intelligence. We keep saying this over and over, yet you REFUSE to see

NFL D's- "Hurts holds the ball a long time, too long, keep after him". Isn't this the point of the pass rush? Verse has talent. All D lines will have talent from here out.Outlets were provided on said play,Hurts should know where they are and react when he sees/senses a bull rush. This is basically a  coverage sack because once again if read 1 is covered Hurts is lost as to what to do. PFF has Hurts rated 19/32,a bit low to me,but yet I can see how they arrived there. The O line are blockers, not magicians.

Where? How is everything negative you always pin on the QB? He has his role in things for sure. But you can’t just thru a the fall away when in the pocket. Seems I mention this NFL rule to you several times a season recently.

Or…are these same issues reoccurring?

If you say so. Gainwell was late even coming out of the backfield. He’s just coming out pretty much right when Hurts is trying to shake the super athletic high pick DROY.

Don't throw it away, throw it to Gainwell who is open

Yes he was a tad late,I agree,or he was holding back to make a chip block that didn't happen before going on his little outlet route. QB has to find these guys

Obviously if Hurts could have predicted Becton getting launched out of his cleats like that…he could have been ready to dump it to Gainwell. I think Hurts was moving off AJ, who was running his route one on one alone along the sideline. To gander at the complete opposite side of the field when Verse busts through in his grill.
