Yes he was a tad late,I agree,or he was holding back to make a chip block that didn't happen before going on his little outlet route. QB has to find these guys

Maybe a gain of 0,but that's still better than -8

Obviously if Hurts could have predicted Becton getting launched out of his cleats like that…he could have been ready to dump it to Gainwell. I think Hurts was moving off AJ, who was running his route one on one alone along the sideline. To gander at the complete opposite side of the field when Verse busts through in his grill.

He should ALWAYS be ready to dump to the outlet, that is why they are there. Moore can't make the plays for him he can only draw them up

Or…are these same issues reoccurring?

It's reoccurring until the QB learns to get the ball OUT. It will remain reoccurring until he "gets it" These are the simple QB skills that drive me INSANE!!!!

The plays where I use all 4 of my foam bricks to throw at the TV

If you say so. Gainwell was late even coming out of the backfield. He’s just coming out pretty much right when Hurts is trying to shake the super athletic high pick DROY.

Nah, there was a nice little window Gains provided. He did his job,the QB needs to do his. Same tactic TB uses to make Hurts look silly.

I agree...same issues with the QB.   This past week however... we had bigger issues than Hurts.  The false start, illegal man downfield,  dropped pass,  poor clock management and 2 missed extra points... for me bigger issue than Hurts holding the ball too long on a couple plays.

Sure,it's your goal as a Hurts Stan more so than an Eagles fan, you want the works to think Hurts had zero fault on any of the sacks... reality the 2 or 3 that he should have avoided were not the big issues.   Clean up the easy mistakes first and we would have ad 47 points.

The worst you could argue against Hurts is one sack took us out of FG range,  the other gave them 2 points... but those 5 points he had to make a decision during the play ....way more difficult than Lane or Becton not committing those penalties or AJ and Elliot with those physical mistakes of an easy catch or kick that they do a million times in practice.  Weather aside

Dak traded to Titans?

Deion Sanders is the new coach for Dullaz and they traded Dak to Tenn for picks. FB never lies right?

Nah…can’t agree with you on this play at all. You try and label him one read and run….but when he tries to go through progressions ….you diss him for holding the ball. One thing you never seem to do is blame the actual guy that completely screwed up.

Well if you see there was the underneath shirt route on the other side. To do exactly like you are stating. Gainwell was looking at staying in as a blocking assignment before he bailed out late. But the other side that underneath dump off….that was the trick the D played…if you notice. They faked certain pressure then switched it. So the Rusher…dropped back into coverage on that short dump off outlet.

Also like I said…the one LB rushing looped all the way around. At the moment of decision….he pretty much could be seen as covering Gainwell instead of the delayed long loop around Rush. Plus there was another defender actually had task of covering Gsinwell.

AJ one on one…..he was clearly really expecting AJ to get open. He didn’t at all though. The other WRs didn’t either. Your whole argument is pretty much looking in hindsight at what happened all AFTER Hurts was dealing with a super athletic freak rusher in his face.

I just read Dak threw his support behind Schotty to get the HC job. A clear blow to Moore.

What the Rams worked drawing up on that play was fantastic. AJ one on one is usually a no brainer win for us….well not so much lately. I just really am finding it challenging how you are trying to full on blame Hurts so heavy in that play situation. I’m sort of fine with Moore’s playcall even. One on one with AJ with flooding the opposite side. As a playcaller to me that would be a win.

But look at how great a bead the Rams defenders seem to have on the whole situation from us. Like they exposed an ‘obvious tell.’

I’m not blaming Gainwell. He had blocking assignment duties first. He shouldn’t have needed to stay in to block Verse. So he made the proper decisions according to play design. He wasn’t wide open first off. Ever. He starts leaking out late…but there is a looping wide delayed LB rusher coming right at him. I’d assume that LB was coming for Gainwell in coverage more than rushing the QB easily…especially right in that moment to make the decision. Then Verse is right there in Hurts grill up the gut. So sure maybe Gainwell was slightly actually getting open before his actual coverage defender came down tight on him. That’s if everything was perfectly seen in real time…like hindsight. Even that is iffy at best. But thats occurring while Hurts is already making moves against being crushed by Verse. No realistic time to be trying to pass. More likely a turnover scenario.

Everything was covered in pass coverage by the Rams. Fantastic coverage at that. Great playcall by their DC Shula.

This is perfectly exampling our viewpoint differences. This isn’t all on the QB at all. This is a much much deeper whole O issue. You just aren’t going to be able to attack the real issues until you understand what they are.

Everybody knew our plays last season. Something even the blind I would hope wouldn’t argue against. It’s really been looking lately like we are seeing it again. Packers and Rams really were on exactly our passing routes. Hurts is the trigger man for the O. But this isn’t all him…I’m telling you….Hurts Hater or not.

Third down conversion to AJ….AJ credited Hurts with a great audible into that play.

Both super long TD runs by Barkley….audibles.

1 read and hold is NOT a progression LOL

I diss him for hot knowing where his outlet(you know the guy you throw to when there is noone else?) is located. Surely he has run this identical play hundreds of times in practice, then suddenly forgets on gameday where his outlet is because he is being rushed? Welcome to the NFL. If this is as smart as he gets he will never be an MVP because he doesn't even possesss rookie level skills(see JD knowing where everyone on the field is)
