March 4, 20251 yr Those are the two allowed post June cuts then. Guess according to No Mas I can’t point out how bad the Bradberry signing was. All three years he’s just sucked under this contract…well I’m just going ahead and wanting this season off also so de we are cutting him. Good move by the GM…to get rid of his bad move.

That's not calling it like you see it...that's a BS shot at the coach. Who had a larger resume than Reid, Chip, Doug ...before being hired. That's fact. Iook them up. Are you taking a shot at our GM that he wouldn’t hire experienced coaches that would demand more power?

Siri the least qualified of the bunch very clearly

March 4, 20251 yr So that should be another $6.5 mil cap savings... so a little over $15 mil created so far with the 3 moves of Barkley, Bradberry and Slay. I agree with the comp picks... I don't expect outside FAs... but could mean we resign more than one guy?

Doug hired as head coach in 2016, Siri in 2021... 5 more years of NFL experience, coaching more positions and that's without the previous experience before the NFL Andy...92 hired in GB... 99 hired here...never a OC...didn't coach as many positions Siri...more years...more positions...more teams... same OC experience as Doug, 3 years more than Andy It's not close...resume wise prior to the hire...Siri had more experience than either. Chip didn't have any NFL experience. Siri was most qualified hire from Lurie...no questions about it when looking at the resume.
March 4, 20251 yr Probably due to having more experience than the other guys... they trust his ability to hire better assistant coaches....being he worked his way up longer and paid more dues. Creating more relationships and not just in the same circles of the West Coast offense.

I really feel the Edge depth is what will need replenished first. I just don't see us landing Garrett. But who knows, Howie has pulled many rabbits out of hats lol. Sawyer is a madman. Watch him in the 4th 1/4 of the championship game(OSU/ND). Probably not the best, but he will give you his all every play. He has non stop motor. He never quits on a play

So I wouldn't think twice about drafting any position...or not drafting it because of previous drafts. But for some reason I'm thinking they trade down from 32. They will need to lock in something to add depth to both DL spots Yep I said we should trade back into 2,maybe get Sawyer and Mason?

Fred Johnson, Maddox and Driscoll be good signings…but no rush on them.

Then after winning this SB now he got the power again to hire his guy by promoting Patullo…probably the QB coach from Bowling Green St. Kind of hard to balk on the HC just won the SB. We know very well around here that credit doesn’t last long. But don’t think it’s as crucial on Rosie’s ego this time being it’s his second now. He doesn’t have to prove so much it’s all him anymore. Which makes him all the better doing his job.

Looking at that grouping of day three Edge players think I might be just as happy with as Sawyer. Feels like a real nice sweet spot in this draft being it has some depth there.

March 4, 20251 yr 2 year 41 mil extension? What? Why? We signed him for three years already. Figured the plan was to ride him hard and milk that last juice out of him to the max. Could have been just two years …but had him under contract for three. Why would you add two more years on?

Similar to Andy really only having his original guys with success.

Opens up $6.5 mil of cap space...roughly...and the ability to lock him in and use the void years later. I know you don't comprehend the last part of why the pushing the dead money is a great tool... but I'm guessing similar to finally getting how the team was improving all year....eventually you will understand how that pushing money..if done correctly, is a great tool to manage the cap. You will come around soon. Might take a few minutes of your time to do some research or just the ability to trust other people's opinions on here. Or just finally seeing how we continue to have cap space.

Ham... remember you always say " the players take a team friendly deal" including your boy Hurts. It's not team friendly deals for the players. Hurts is getting the most cash in the league...even now. Barkley is rewarded with the cash. But how it effects the cap...is a different thing. Forget the years etc. You have to get over the way a contract looks on its surface. You see 5 years $50 million and you automatically think that's it. You add 5 years to the age and that's how your mind works. Maybe they still only get him for 3 years...maybe 4... maybe even 6 years if they rework his deal later where they convert cash to signing bonus and push the cap hits back to 2034? The contracts are fluid when they are long term. That puts cash in the player's pocket ASAP...and gives the team cap flexibility. It's not always just about the numbers shown on the surface.
