March 26, 20251 yr I could see how we could do very well running with Calc as TE1 and a strong blocking TE….even without drafting one. If we grab a nice WR especially.

March 26, 20251 yr Author Trade out of 1 Savaiinaea (first round 2) 64- Umanmielen-edge 88)pick your TE 92 Barrett Carter-LB 110 Pierce-OT 161-Shough-(QB3) 164 Mills-DT 165 Williams-CB RG is fixed, nice edge guy, prospect TE and LB Pierce BU OT
March 26, 20251 yr Barrett Carter is a good LB I’d really be happy if we chose. You looked at Smael the LB from Georgia? Could easily seeing him being a LB we actually draft.
March 26, 20251 yr Author https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Sam-Brown-WR-WestVirginia late or UDFA WR(Miami not WV LOL) I like Restrepo from Miami but he would be too high a pick IMO

But also…exactly what I was saying about just an example …to explain my point. Which seems to always get twisted and misunderstood around here. My example was I don’t see a huge gap between these 3 through 8 TEs…so I’m leaning towards value. I think I get what you are saying.... using 32 on one guy that probably shouldn't be drafted that high....vs a 4th round pick on a guy you think is fairly close...you don't pick TE at 32, basically you take the 7th or 8th TE...not the #3 TE. I guess the other issue is if you lose all of them by waiting? Probably why we all agree a trade is probable.

All are raw prospects that need work no matter where their weakness is. I'm sure we will take one,no need to reach IMO. After the first 2,there are no real standouts in my view. All have pros and cons that need worked on
March 26, 20251 yr Another option I see could happen. With our roster being so young.. what if we decide to trade up and get a target in round 1? Maybe a stud TE....also what about another CB? Losing Slay, Bradberry, Maddox.... I know they are high on Ringo...but we still need depth. Another safety... LB for sure with Dean being injured and losing Burks. So many options... and I love adding youth to all these spots.

It makes sense... but keep in mind, we don't need a guy with receiving volume. We run the ball ...and AJ and Smith are the next options. This is where it seems like the proper play is getting the value guy on day 2.

If he hits say 22-25 Maybe Howie moves IDK
March 26, 20251 yr I’m really struggling to believe Rosie trades up from 32 for a player not in the trenches….including OLB/Edge…whatever we’re calling those guys under Fangio.

Howie loves to move around so I expect something along these lines

March 26, 20251 yr Author So Sava(round 2) your TE (round 2) Belton (OT round 3) Carter (LB round 4) and I know we like Nohl Williams the CB from Cal later
