Was he need that big of a deal to sign before the draft? Not really thinking so. But if this is all I nitpick…we’ll be fine.

March 28, 20251 yr I was hoping Rodgers would sign for more….even though I said my goal was to get 3,4,5 and 6th round compensatory picks. Really think Rodgers is a legit starting CB.
March 28, 20251 yr My posts from my phone don't seem to be registering on here??? I mentioned Wilson and Diggs way earlier and Jameis Winston too. Got back to Ham, saying I thought Fred Johnson was going to be our 4th comp pick, not Rodgers... none of that is showing up??? Anyway... Go Birds!!!

Especially if the decision is pretty much directly related to Azeez Ojulari. Think Rodgers signed for a similar amount as Ojulari as far as about 5.5 mil per.

March 28, 20251 yr My mock draft 32. James Pearce Jr Edge Tenn 64. Omarr Norman-Lott DT Tenn 96. Lathan Ransom S Ohio St 134. Antwaun Powell-Ryland Edge VT 161. Kobe King LB Penn St 164. March 28, 20251 yr Slay was a mentor to the young guys. Get to that level like him….you get paid. Rodgers level…not so much. Can we say that’s the lesson for DeJean and Q to observe here?

Azeez... one year ... cap hit split $3.5 mil total over 2 years .... that's $7.5 mil more I believe they really wanted Ringo to get the shot... they traded an extra pick to get him, I don't think Rodgers was ever in the plans, a cheap insurance policy for last year and opportunity to count as a comp pick... which in essence he saved the Becton comp pick

March 29, 20251 yr They added Saquan, drafted Shipley and just decided to go ahead and need to trade for Dotson on O. Had Becton fall into our laps very nicely. All throwing a big dart at bringing in their backup HC candidate a few seasons prior as OC to install and run the O. The hiring of Moore by Rosie was almost all along a very obvious one year attempt and solution. Worse case he could carry on and bridge the gap if the salvation attempt on the HC didn’t pan out. So it was a one shot deal with the O. Fangio was brought in straight believing all along he was a long term fixture falling into place here. So most building went towards the D. Whole plan being no matter really what….we invested most everything on the D last season. That was the safer more long term plan to build on longer term. HC, Moore….whatever whole scheme and needs on O…either worked or not.

We already had the O line, Goedert, top outside WR's what else do you need to bring in? If you need NOTHING on one side of the ball isn't it OBVIOUS to work on the other side? Why is this so amazing to you? LOL
March 29, 20251 yr Author How is it a "1 shot deal" with the O when you still have most of them here???? Did Hurts, Bark, AJ, and Smitty go somewhere???
March 29, 20251 yr Clearly there were a long term more solid commitment to the D side. Even brought in Devin White at LB. So many were pumping him like he was a stud signing and big time. Big FA was a forced move for Huff. Grabbed Baun. Held Rodgers while he was suspeneed…decent investment to do that.
March 29, 20251 yr 2024 Went Q , DeJean and Hunt first three picks. 2023 went Carter, Nolan, Sidney, Ringo and Ojomo 2022 went Jordan Davis and Dean.

March 29, 20251 yr So do we invest in Siri and Patullo big long term? Fangio was easy to decide that. We’ll see how the confidence is rolling for Siri from Rosie.

Something(new toys) for every coach to play with. Looks to me though, despite my opinions, that we are targeting an OT(to play G while waiting for Lane to retire), so Howie could move UP for that guy. We seem to like the kid from Oregon(Conerly)
