"known for his blocking" but wasn't really asked to do much in the passing game. We can change that. We shall see
March 26, 20251 yr Author https://athlonsports.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/philadelphia-eagles-texas-longhorns-wide-receiver-nfl-draft-prospect-matthew-golden Ham. Here is what I mean. If you're going to do this don't settle, go get your guy. I would not personally do this, but you could LOL. Drop Smitty in the slot and we're good. Like I said I would not do this but Howie could. So if you're going to make a bad call(see Reagor), at least do it with a good player

Could be a great ST return guy(see Covey lol) and a guy used on a few plays like we used Sproles and Gains. I know it's not a major need at RB,still this gives you options out of the playbook. I mean a 5th isn't alot to spend and we have 4 of those almost back to back(161,164,165,168) so whomever we have as targets in round 5 we will be sure to get(maybe another TE here also) and so the research for WR's should be round 4 and 5. just a kid who has potential but is very raw we can work on. OT/G DT/Edge,CB all should be in play. If we get a top value at LB we should hit that. I suspect some of those 5's go away using them to move elsewhere. It's going to be fun watching Howie move around He was discussed a lot this morning on the radio.

March 27, 20251 yr So far a tumultuous offseason….as expected for the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS. I’ve been buried at work since the big win so I havent kept up here and dont want to go back and try to find what you regulars posted about the offseason so far…so give me your input, PLEASE. I’m really happy the team re-signed Baun. Losing BOTH Milton and Sweat is a little concerning, but expected after the results from the SB. Becton - I’m fine losing him. Happy for his resurgence. Burks - could be a bigger loss than we realize. Gardner-Johnson - I dont understand this move. I like Brown, but he is a downgrade. I was more bummed about losing Rodgers than Slay. It’s not the stardom of Slay I worry about. Its the cumulation of losing FIVE of your starters on Defense and a reliable backup in Rodgers that is concerning. I watch very little college football, so I’m not knowledgeable enough to share anything related to drafting. The local kid, Ashton Jeanty, is a Sunday player! Anxious to read your opinions about free agency…not so much the draft please.

Anxious to read your opinions about free agency…not so much the draft please. Baun was a good signing, renting him out for a couple more years. The all pro. The other guys... I count us losing 3 starters on D. Slay was on his way out anyway... Sweat and CGJ the other two. Dean and Davis were starters. I believe they were very high on Brown from the start... his 99 yard pick 6 was elite level play... then he got seriously injured, he wasn't 100% no matter how he looked. Now with a full offseason to train rather than rehab... he was the guy they need to find out about going into year 3. At CB, I believe they feel the same with Ringo... going into year 3, they want to see what they have. Ojomo and Hunt are young players that were stepping up as the season progressed... both will have an opportunity to fill in for Milton and Sweat. They won their title... they didn't lose any pro bowl players... they collected comp picks and are going to shed salary to create the ability to lock in players long term as additions to the established core. This offseason, Cam, Davis, Dean... next offseason Carter, Smith, Steen, Brown and Ojomo... all with the opportunity to extend and lock in. 20 draft picks the next 2 drafts, possibly more via trades. The roster is extremely young but also very experienced. Looking around the league, I would ask you ...who do you think is set up better to make a run these next few years?
March 27, 20251 yr Plus I have to be honest... the mindset here around the organization ... so much different that in 2018. No statues ... the starting QB actually won all the playoff games... their still seems to be a hunger there. Doug was still in a honeymoon phase ... Siri has been through the ringer already. The OL is younger and healthier ... but also, look at the skill guys... RB it's not close, so much better heading into 2025 than 2018. The WRs... not close. TE was great in 2018 though. We didn't have a playmaking LB like Baun. The CBs were the weakest link of the D... now we have 2 studs going into year 2. We don't have a Malcolm Jenkins though. IDK... just feels more stable, more talent, more home grown and way younger than it did in 2018. It feels like 2023 in a way losing the players.... but we didn't have young guys primed to step up... and also, they won the SB instead of losing... so they enter the season with confidence and focus. Hungry, but not with the negativity. So they will enjoy the process, I think in 2023, it was always with an attitude that it doesn't matter until we get to the end. I think this same group will enjoy the process and not miss the little things along the way that you need to grow and develop in order to win. IDK.. maybe a simple way to put it is there shouldn't be any panic this year. Still feel the hunger to prove something... but without the negative energy of a loss lingering. When you win something with the guy next to you, you play with a confidence together. A lot of this group has also won in college... so they are used to winning, it should be their standard!

March 27, 20251 yr Author Adding Dillon will spell Barkley, another small plus as we can keep him fresher and not run all the gas out. Hurts has learned this simplified offense and performs it well. With teams trying to stop bark it makes the passing game easier to execute. If they pull back we use Bark, if they load the box they have outstanding receivers to cover so either way we present coverage nightmare. Joe covered the defensive side very well. Different guys, but we have an easy to learn offense, so anyone coming in will be caught up and ready to play. The new additions seem more than ready to play on a winning squad and I assume we will be right there to win the division again. We have few sore spots, no major holes. RG is still an issue and Howi seems to be looking at that fix in the draft, so all in all I expect us to be competitive. It's a tough schedule this year, which is fine. No gimmies. We will prove we are not one hit wonders and we will back it up. Howies first 2 draft picks could be immediate impact players depending who0 he picks.I'm excited for the draft and to see what holes and BU's we can gain. I really don't see this team falling off much, if at all. Should be some great games this year, some hard games to win. I love it because you will be ready on SB Sunday to beat up whoever you face. I'm hoisting the Lombardi once again, see no reason that can't be done. The REDSKINS should be the toughest divisional game. Still think we can beat them. GOing to be an all out fun year to be part of

March 27, 20251 yr Author At this early point,it looks like Connerly from Oregon the OT/G. On the big boarg he is ranked at 31 where the chiefs pick. We would bee to bump them pr go to 30. That's not too bad of a reach since we have all those 5's stashed away. If you be nice if we could get a pick for Goedert. We shall see in a few weeks

Top notch RG who has also played RT so there is a guy we can use as a BU for Lane,If that hsppens we stick in Stoll at RG. No telling what Howie thinks.I know he is working on his strategy as we speak. Chargers at 26 may be interested in Goedert too
March 27, 20251 yr Author Q is already a phenom and I suspect DeJean will be even better. Pick up a DT,edge,TE and corner and we're in good shape
March 27, 20251 yr Author The Eagles attempted the fewest pass attempts of any NFL team during the 2024 regular season. I didn't know this LOL
