So have you both looked at the scouting report I posted the link to about TE Ferguson? What’s your issues with him being the selection?

LOL once AGAIN if the guy you HIRED knows ALL ABOUT HIM, WHY would you need to go to his pro day? Let the GUY YOU HIRED tell you

Again…we just hired him…so why wouldn’t you trust the guy you just chose? Makes no sense. Yet we sent multiple scouts to his pro day also. Now…I wasn’t there personally…just getting my info off the internet reporting. But seems weird somebody would just make that info up.

He has a crap blocking score. He needs to be "ok" at least and he falls way short IMO. We can spend time on any of them, just depends who is the best fit ASAP

You’re correct there…I fail to understand any logic in your thoughts on this. My opinion was offs are we are looking to draft him because we are checking every box about this kid. Seems, to me at least, like the obvious logic.

Right we went to his pro day because the coach we hired can't tell us what we need to know, so that link doesn't exist

Ferguson's blocking skills, though not dominant, are sufficient to keep him on the field in most situations. As he continues to develop his strength and technique, he has the potential to become a true three-down tight end at the next level. With his combination of receiving ability and blocking potential, Ferguson should find a role quickly in an NFL offense and has the upside to develop into a reliable starter.

Most number 1s aren’t excellent blockers…that’s what’s rare to find.

Bowling Green TE Fannin. We hired his HC to be our QB coach….yet reports are we sent multiple scouts to Bowling Greens Pro Day.

See I like the " willing to block"  we see how these kids can improve by their technique getting better and their bodies maturing as they advance in age and experience

So if we hired  his HC and sent multiple  scouts to his Pro Day I’m thinking we are very interested in him…FL states it’s because we don’t trust our new QB coach. What do you take from this?

Hard to know who is "willing" some college schemes they are never asked to or rarely are, so how do you gauge what you don't know? Anyone can be willing if the paycheck is there

Was talking about him at family party over the weekend with one of my cousins son who follows.  Apparently he is someone people think we could get.   What are his attributes?

A TE from the U should be considered by default

I think we are interested in everyone.   It seems we have been all over the place the last few drafts which makes us unpredictable....which I like.

Not really…plenty of guys aren’t willing blockers…try and get Smitty blocking in The Brotherly Shove. With TEs there are plenty that see themselves as really just glorified receivers anyway…or heck some are exactly converted WRs.

For me all hinges on if we move up or back. We have visited with TE's that will go in 2-4. Ho0wie will move around so I just hope they get a good one
