I'd gladly forego day 1 if we could acquire 4 day 2 picks.

The take, the consensus, was that Harold Fannin was the coaching favorite of the tight end coaches. They all really liked him. I like him, too. He's a really good player.” A scout was interviewed

Yeah everybody knows I always preach my love for day two of the draft. After day two? Some drafts really drop off to just swinging for development on day three. Feels like the first three rounds are easier to identify quality talent to hit on the picks also.

Nolen is a no go. Character issues…it’s being rumored.

How many guys have we gotten with "issues" that the locker room didn't straighten them out? Let's remember these are KIDS and some have not had a father figure. I recall a kid we drafted that went racing and ran away from the scene? How is he doing now?

Is there anybody outside top ten you’d trade up for? Anybody you feel is special enough to just go get?

That kid we surrounded with the optimal setting…I doubt would be on the quality track he’s on anywhere else. Could probably handle a young kid needs to mature. Just can’t be a DT.

You think Grant will be there at 22? Maybe Harmon I was thinking.

IDK yeah not sure either, but if he is a guy of the future(whoever that is) Howie won't hesitate to make a move. I know we like Tre Amos at CB which would fix the secondary for long while. Some have S Starks IDK going to be interesting

Why not? Let the FO make those decisions

"You know son, you have a long career ahead where you will make tons of money if you don't screw up, and you were drafted by the defending SB champs, and they expect you to fly right and keep this team on top. They trusted you with this challenge, how can we help you"?

Keeping Carter succeeding at a high level I wouldn’t mess with. Don’t bring out some of his flaws he’s been mostly avoiding by pairing him up with a knucklehead. That’s a real problem. Nolen character stuff? Maybe that could be handled and taken care of …just like Carter. Maybe it can’t. But you risk not just a bonehead top draft choice….but risking our stud Carter also. I just wrote about how I believe Jordan Davis is worth more to us than he’s produced in the field. Give him an extra two mil a year to keep Carter on the right path.

This might be the guy. But not dreaming he’ll fall to 22. Could be willing to give up next years 32 pick as well as 32 this year. Maybe Huff the disappearing dragon pass rusher.

IDK where he lands, why I suggested "selling" them Goedert with the 32 pick. it's that time of year when NO ONE will be there no matter what the pick is after #5. You can say anyone you want and someone else will say they won't be there(like they know either)

Why can't kids who have "been there" lead for someone else with "issues". it's not like that scares us off, and maybe it does other tams and they drop to us. Hell the Philly FANS will kick his ass into gear LOL

Carter is too valuable. Just even thinking purely about him. If we can keep Carter maximized and not straying? That is as important as anything else. Maybe Nolen will be pretty good…maybe not. But that’s a risk I’m not willing to take.

How important do you believe Carter is?

2,3 is where you can take advantage of others teams who can't draft. Any idiot can take one of the top 5 LOL

I’m thinking he’s our best player. Just doesn’t have the character traits at all like Hurts or several others. I’m being very mindful of who Carter is spending a bunch of time with.

I don't need to pay "bonus money" for therapy LOL . We had these guys in and would assume they were questioned about whatever issues they had and then we make a decision

So you are willing to delibrately take our best player that….probably only thrived like he did with us…exactly because of his surroundings and environment….and purposely ruin that by pairing him with a knucklehead? You are completely screwing with our very unique environment that I’m telling you Carter very much needed.

Either, it just needs to be the guy who can stick for 4/5 years and if he's good we re-sign him

No sir. I mean drafting a knucklehead to begin with in Nolen…it’s called a red flag for a reason.

We fixed one knucklhead? He can't help fix another one? Either he has matured or he hasn't

Like I said who else did we draft with red flags?

Which every athlete has benefited from what you’re saying. Yet…how many athletes screw it all up? Heck I can pull up the Cowboys roster over the years as a whole organization for decades that didn’t work for.

I'm willing to take the best player for this team over the next 4/5 years. I'm sure he was well screened and Lurie will make that decision not you or me
