Even I almost feel like I could be going too far. But why? Make an argument why anybody is better than Hurts. I can’t explain it even… like he seems like a kind of just above average hard working overachiever…but then biggest stage he is the best player on the field. I mean..,it happened twice…he’s only 25.

Why do you care whether someone makes an argument why anyone is better than hurts?

He thrives because of those around him WAKE UP!!!!!

Just pathetic man! Get ready for years more of HurtsHating denial ahead. Our leader….is actually just being carried by everyone else. Sad dude! He’s made it such a ridiculous reach for you to even try to discredit him anymore. Great team …he leads!

Once again, he has the best supporting cast. He could not do this on a CRAP team

That is your opinion. Everybody has one. With that said, I’ll ask you the same question I asked Ham. Why do you care if he has a diffraction than you do?

Ok is point proven clear enough with a statement denying Hurts as only being carried by his teammates?

Of course not. Because I just laid out exactly what should be the most important element for an athlete. It’s not how fast was Usain Bolt in a regional charity event. It’s Olympics. It’s not how the optics of domination were for a champion fighter in a warm up cupcake bout. It’s about against the best…for the belt….did he get it done.

You are comparison wise worshipping a boxer never lost except the ten championship fights he wilted during instead of rise up to the biggest moment.

And you are talking about individual characteristics in a team sport. Major disconnect there.

You are favoring Serena Williams absolutely dominating The Congo Open Tennis exhibition. Who cares? Win the Grand Slam! That’s greatness!

Again, an individual sport. Apples and oranges.

I actually just arrived here myself I admit. I kept just low balling him. Kept saying he’s good but….

Why a but? He still has plenty of flaws. Plenty of room to grow. But who’s better? Why? Hard for me to even explain. He looks so much lesser than many I’ve witnessed almost these years. Yet…no QB playing now would I prefer I think I’m honestly arriving at now. All different reasons than I’ve really considered …some anyway. Screw stats…his greatness was checking his ego for his team. Win ugly or whatever it’s seen as…it’s Hurts way.

Do what? Be the best player on the field everytime we’ve reached the biggest stage in sports? He’s been there and done that.

Again you are so hung up on individual accomplishments that you don’t have any sense that the measurement of success is in the team standings.

Sure. But athletes accomplishing greatness is the point. Seperate from team goals. Greatness judged in the biggest moments against the best. Best week one QB that wilts in the playoffs sucks. Preferring to judge padded stats against a wounded Browns team over what is done against the yeah with everything on the line is how athletes are judged.

Lamar and Allen had teams arguably most talented in the league…more than once even. They didn’t fail over terrible supporting cast. Burrow I’m saying could have that excuse. It’s worse because both of those guys showed more than capable of highest levels of play…in the lesser moments. They had easily as good of opportunities as Hurts has been provided. They just failed. Hurts lost his first SB.,,but so many great players around him shrunk and failed. He absolutely was carrying us to victory. No penalty on Bradberry I have not one shred of doubt Hurts goes down and scores. Tie or win? We’ll never know. League knew it also. If they let things play out leaving Hurts time? He was going to screw up their champion building of Mahomes.

This comment is so stupid it is laughable. Who did they not get past? Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and a Kansas City team that had more talent than either the Bills or the Ravens.

All Pro stupidity on this one. Do you ever read your own posts before hitting the Submit icon?

Fastest man on the planet in his hometown not during a race. Is that judged as accomplishing greatness? Over the runner steps up under pressure to win gold?

Basketball played hits 100 straight free throws….isnt making the one to win the championship. Completely different moments. FL been in front of big crowds as a musician more than I have ever performed anything. Most can’t handle the crowd and pressure…that’s a whole different accomplishment. Putt to win the Masters….can an athlete do it then?

No it is not the point. The point is for the team to win. Dan Marino consistently accomplished perhaps the apex greatness performance of any QB in history, but his teams never won the Lombardi, so he is relegated to being an afterthought.

That statement is an opinion. Opinions are like a-holes. Everybody has one. Reasonable people can agree to disagree reasonably. By acting the way you do, you are clearly not being a reasonsble person.

Is that true? Is that untrue? Is that an opinion? Is that fact?

Why do you care what someone else says?

And all 100% subjective. What is chocolate for one person is vanilla for another person.

In addition, context matters. If you grew up in Green Bay the standard all QBs are measured against is Bart Starr. If Oakland, the standard is Kenny Stabler. If Dallas the standard is Roger Staubach. Given that the assessment(s) of modern players varies.

I get the sense that you are trying to make a subjective art into an objective science.

I don’t want to diminish our excellent team. But this statement just isn’t accurate. He rises to accomplish converting a third and long with his legs. Sure will power. No sir…Hurts creates environment for everybody around him to thrive.

LOL this statement is inaccurate not mine. Hurts cannot complete the tush push with a weak, crap Oline C'mon now WAKE UP!!!! You have it all backwards

He will continue to succeed AS LONG AS Howie keeps a top O line in place for him AND top WR's AND a TOP TE AND the best RB in the league-WAKE UP!!!!!

Screw stats…

You always say this, then post stats ....when it fits your agenda. When it doesn't "stats don't matter" LOLOLOLO Comical. The other part of the comedy is players get paid based on stats. Any non rook QB's being paid 55 million with say 800 yards a year in passing, 17 rushing and 2 TD's? No of course not, they are being paid for stats, past present and possible future ones. Why do you think AJ got upset when his target share dropped off a cliff???? Are you going to pay millions to a DT or edge guy who has 1/2 sack all year? Or a CB who gets burned 80% of the time? You might, but Howie won't

You cite individuals(and me in a band and yes I have had bad performances as the other members have had, but you cover them and go on) Individual sports rely on no one else except their coach(es) In golf, even when teams play, there is not 1 guy driving and another doing the putts. it's still an individuals game with combined scores, not the same thing. You cite Hurts as being the only reason we won the SB and that is simply not true and you forget all the efforts by everyone who got us there. TBH last year at 2-2. I was questioning my 12 win prediction and if the pull back of Hurts had not been made(technically that was 1/2 time of the Browns game), I doubt we would have gotten to the SB at ALL. I was seriously expecting a dog fight with KC once again. We all but blew that off the map.

Heck tons of bands didn’t rely on actually being great musicians. Almost rare when good bands actually are all talented.

Well that is true, still people pay to be entertained. If you are really awful the lack of ticket sales tell you so . It would seem tough on a band to play a concert who was a 1 hit wonder because people only know that ONE song. What do you play the other 86 minutes? Similarly,I could have bought front row seats to Panthers games for $28.00 at the end of the season(that's pretty awful) As I recall parking was $15.00 HAHAHA)

The first part of the Texans’ all-Iowa State receiver mission on Day 2 will bring an important distinction into the NFL. Higgins will become the first second-round pick to see his contract fully guaranteed.

Ham, I told you I would slice and dice the Super Bowl Play By Play. Here is what it shows. 12 drives with Hurts as QB, with 32 series in those 12 drives. There were 13 3rd Downs of which 5 were 3rd and 7 or longer (highlighted in blue). 3 of the 5 did not achieve a 1st Down. One of the three was an interception and the other two resulted in field goals. Of the 32 1st Down plays, 7 were passes and 25 were runs. One thing that happens with the heavy emphasis on running plays is that opportunities for play action passes is significant. Also Spags' 8 in the Box approach left our Receivers covered one on one, and they feasted when called upon.
