There were 13 3rd Downs of which 5 were 3rd and 7 or longer (highlighted in blue). 3 of the 5 did not achieve a 1st Down. One of the three was an interception and the other two resulted in field goals. Of the 32 1st Down plays, 7 were passes and 25 were runs. One thing that happens with the heavy emphasis on running plays is that opportunities for play action passes is significant. Also Spags' 8 in the Box approach left our Receivers covered one on one, and they feasted when called upon.Come on now...stop with the facts...although it's so refreshing having someone else on here that takes 3 minutes to do easy research... but you are letting facts get in the way of the left field theories.. Hurts just was forced into so many 3rd and longs due to Barkley choking...lol. We needed to change the offense...lol. Ham was right all along....can't win the way they were playing all season... lol.Btw... for such a fan of the QB and who preaches about the win now mode... I am still baffled as to why he was upset with the Cam extension? Makes zero logical sense.

He did improve massively this past season I will volunteer. Really felt like the whole team witnessing how hard he fought to keep his job after screwing up early in the season….galvanized our whole team around him. After he got past that Giants game where he let on he wasn’t blocking out everything he said by the fans about his playcalling…he started to actually mature some there. At what point do you get over the 2021 start?

Why do you care if he has a diffraction than you do?The discussion is entertaining. On one side you have logic, on the other side you have Ham's constant drum beat rambling that Hurts is a god, and is the only reason for our success agenda, having to cover for a lame coach and a GM who makes some bad investments and that we fail he hire O mind geniuses and a RB who "choked" in the SB, so Hurts had to cover for his deficiencies. IDK anyone else who can make 65(literally) posts in a ROW. Me and Joe are "haters" because we treat Hurts like any other player. He is not to be touched in Hamityville, nor criticized and some of the responses are comical to me as I enjoy seeing how other people think. We all have opinions that is what the board is for. All fans are different, with different views and qualities and drawbacks and shortcomings, so I enjoy the banter with everyone. Ham is the board TMZ reporter- entertaining!!!!! 🤣 At least I can answer point blank questions. Ham has difficulty in this area

The information Ham cites is frequently very solid, but instead of focusing on that information he leaps to focusing on personalities rather than actions, and individuality rather than collaboration as a team. The idea that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts is alien to him.I guess I’m arguing for this forum to become greater than the sum of its parts as well./rant

Off he balls out, and I would love to see that happen, then he gets very expensive by comparison for Howie at the end of the season.Ojomo is in a similar situation to Ojulari. When I got the list down to three, Davis was the third with Hunt and Ringo. I would love to see Davis take a leap forward in his is game, but Hunt has more upside IMO and Ringo represents more vulnerability for the team … and if Davis does take the leap, he is in the same contract situation as Ojulari and Ojomo.Robinson, Mukuba and Campbell are all rookies. They will be on my list next season.

However, the 2023 third-round pick’s pending run at"In handicapping Steen vs. the field, the latter is further ahead with the sequel set to start but there's no obvious Becton-level upside for Steen to deal with this time." It's too early to make this statement leap IMO. Any student of Stoutland U could emerge in an instant. 10 days for Becton to take Steens job. Would not shock me if another guy emerges, so from the "latter" who they say is farther ahead of Steen, they really make no claims as to who that could be, but the rooks all have upside or they wouldn't be here and the NFL guys we picked up could easily translate under Stoutland's tutelage. Going to be a huge competition and it would be nice to find "the guy" who can be a RG lifer. Steen has been wanting that job for awhile, but somehow can't take the final step needed. Still, you can make a very nice living with BU loot. Going to be fun watching the process here
May 11, 20251 yr Author Pierce could be Lanes replacement. Howie likes to draft them early, let them get a year or 2 in. He is a big kid to play at RG, but it will give him valuable playing time, even if he is inserted later at RT(in 2 years). I believe Lane signed through 2027,but he could retire before his contract is up. Stoutland will get them sorted out

Doesn’t mean they will all work out, but it is a treasure trove of "clay” for Stoutland to Work with. Williams, Hinton, and Pierce all have the requisite size that Stoutland likes. Kendall, while smaller, still very nicely fits the Sox profile, with enough size to kick out to Guard if necessary. That being said it could not hurt to bring in a solid pro(which Huff was supposed to give us). I don't believe Howie is done bringing in guys. We could see some additions as guys get tossed as camp get rolling. Stoutland and Fangio are both more than adept at spotting losers early and showing them the door. The fact Fangio had little use for Huff makes me think once again of the smokescreen that "we haven't given up" when In fact they probably already have, but have no imminent deal. I figured he would be traded in the draft

That is hard to find or develop as there are usually limits. The other stuff can be coached up, so I believe he finds his way to the roster. If we can combine all that with the motor/perseverance, you end up with a great player. Non stop motor is an overused phrase, but we have many of those. I more than like the word "relentless" because that can become intimidating. Liked this pick up alot
