Ongoing Eagles New Discussion volume 2

Reading is fundamental Ham. Show me where I argued that. Your imagination is running away with you.

Yeah .. this is pretty much how it goes. You show facts to disprove his posts.. then he goes in defensive spin mode ... and left field imagination slowly getting off topic to spin like he didn't say what he said and ...." it's obvious "

Now 2nd and 7 is a passing down? Never was until the Superbowl.

The statement was Barkley choked bd forced Hurts to convert all these 3rd and longs. He converted 2 of them all game.

37 posts later ...and the spin is..." well it was obvious to keep feeding Barkley the ball" lol.

This is how the discussion goes after anyone uses facts to completely disprove what Ham says... you notice how long a discussion goes on similar topic until someone else just moves on.

So... Barkley choked and Hurts had to convert two 3rd and longs and had to pass 22 times so we could point up 40 points. Lol

Not to knock Goedert, this data from OverThe Cap says he is paid like the lucky 13th, but at the $14 million he just negotiated down to $10 he would be 5th.

Brock Bowers is on a rookie contract, so he doesn’t appear on the OTC list. Neither does Sam Laporta, so Top 10 is an easy label to give Goedert.

I would rank him alot higher than they do. He doesn't get alot of shots to shine as much as the others due to the guys he plays with

But Barkley is the greatest RB of all time. Better than Jim Brown. Better than Barry Sanders. Saturday Saquon is a bum. Sunday he is without equal. What will Monday bring?

Good point. Would you rank him higher than Kittle? Kelce? Andrews?

Not talking about pay, I'm asking who is the better TE for the Eagles with how our offense operates? I believe Goedert is a top 5 for THIS team despite the fact he plays with the leagues best RB last year,2 top WR's who take the majority target share and a QB who ignores the TE and slot in the RZ. Of course there is no way to tell how he would do elsewhere or how well others would fit here. I listed 3. So IMO for our team he is a top 5, being paid less is a bonus from Howie my bad though I DID forget about Kittle,so Goedert would be #5 HERE in my view

I’m cool with that.

I mean SF had no RB sans Caff, so they leaned on Kittle more, same with Kelce in KC. Hockenson is good and solid would put Goedert on par with him maybe. Laporta I like he would be good here also. Andrews is good but heading to his sunset years. I'm just saying with how this offense works Goedert is a top 5 for me. Personal opinion, no stats or pay, just as a fan

No

I used to love to watch the following TE's- Shannon Sharpe, Gates(Mr. clutch in SD), Gonzo. But Gronk has to be the best TE to play the position IMO. hard to know, the rules changed so much since back then. QB Fran Tarkenton was so much fun to watch. Just a wild man LOL

Monday- we need an O genius at OC. We can't function without Hurts

I enjoyed watching the Gates/LT combo play. I went to the pro bowl in Hawaii in 2006 and had dinner with LT and Paris Hilton(and others) at Benihana where they seat 20 people at the same table. It was a blast just talking about stuff. LT was glad we talked about things other than football. I imagine that gets old for them after while and they want to talk about other things

Monday brings...

Hurts is perfect

Siri stinks

Howie is ok.

Rinse repeat... spin it a different way.... but same stuff.

News of opening day opponent being Dallas!!!

it puts the Preseason games approach into a different light. More than likely because of that opener the starters will get more preseason game snaps together to knock off some rust prior to Week One.

I doubt it

I think the Eagles will keep their powder dry until September 4th...it will be a BLAST!!!

Disagree. It was very relevant. If he was awful Howie would not have jumped at the chance to get him

Evern more relevant because it shows how important a good O line is

I'm seeing us playing Dullaz week 1? 1-0 sounds good to me right off the bat 🤣

It's on NBC and Peacock. I thought for sure it would only be on Prime.

Not difficult. If we can just agree on football basics…we could hold to a higher standard around here;

All these coaches would choose to call Dotson number instead of give it to Saquan last season you’re saying..sure…believable…by no one ever

you should

Which contrary to your statements I always have. So you telling me I "should” do what I’ve always done…I guess… thank you for agreeing with me. Finally after every other accusatory statement being contradictory.

Week one is such a crapshoot. Siri record has been a way of winning first week to his credit though.

Wasn’t the best season ever. OJ’s season was the best Dickerson’s was probably second best.

Ok so let’s just pretend to throw out all the other context applies to just going towards your attempts to reason your opinion, along with FL and No Mas, of trying to come up with all these other reasons to point fault at Hurts as the only quality reason to ever have made the decision …on any play…to choose giving the ball to Saquan. Even if we just totally went away from the point and just accepted your small number of deep diving attempts to come up with all time NFL historically…even to attempt to arguably find any better coaching option resulting in better production …conceding all those points(which in no way deserve to be conceded)…you still came up with a possible how many attempted alternate options? In decades of NFL history.

Even in that worst light ignoring what I actually said…just pretending your spin towards countering by changing the question wasn’t even a factor….

Take all that unfairly against me in your favor even…What grounds is it you are stocking to your guns about with there needing to be a single other reason than choosing to hand the ball to Saquan in our O as just clearly the obvious best no brainer option?

Hurts flaws just forced our coaches to settle on turning to that bum that was producing the greatest season ever.

Really isn’t any other way of understanding all three of your attempted tearing down attempts at our leader. Say that first paragraph out loud. Even better in front of any other person. Look in the mirror and say it. That guy spewing that opinion really is reaching…as the nicest way to put it. No need for me to actually use the terms applies…heck even that guy in the mirror should say it to the guy across from him.

For the record: not many appreciate Jim Brown more than I. But…just no comparison between the massive NFL eras gap. His days pros just began considering football as a full time job. There was no expectation for year round preparations to play. Football has taken such massive leaps forward in all these decades between. Admittedly a bit extreme…but not much…football knowledge and understandings for high school kids today have arguments of being beyond pros way back then. The decades of study and analytics resulting from (underestimation) millions invested. The science today surrounding athletes and football…light years ahead. Conditioning, training….good lord man the diet. All so admittedly unfair advantages against Jim Brown. Realistically/conspiratorially high school football players at elite levels like Saquan probably even near financial gains comparably as Brown.

Jim Browns biggest attribute leading to his production was physical strength mauling and overpowering. Could you really even say he wins in the one area he enjoys his strongest comparison? The year round training and dieting Saquan has been doing since high school, through college…now years as a pro. Jim Brown would even jaw drop gushing just speaking about Quadzilla.

Comparing Saquan and Jim Brown as gifted athletes? Not even wasting anymore time detailing the light years difference between the guy that jukes two defenders and leaps over another backwards all in one play. Brown bullied so much lesser athletes. Saquan exhibiting whole other levels of athleticism over far superior athletic competition.
