I take exception to what you have said! 😤🤯😤 Not a single Defensive player mentioned.

Yes... because the offense was the point of the post you quoted. The defense, when talking about the supporting cast....is simply supposed to be the unit as a whole. Which remind me again... where were they ranked?

It is interesting to see how Sirianni’s RPO Offensive scheme is now way way back in the rear view mirror. Do we run any RPOs any more?

That's so 2021.

Interesting on his show with Acho and Jones... Shady reported that AJ basically said it doesn't matter who is the OC, because Hurts is in charge of that offense.

Booger McFarland doubled down on his show talking about the OC job, saying it doesn't really matter as the idea will be there to run the ball, use the running QB and the play action off of the run. Just a couple different wrinkles depending on who the OC is.

Now that we run Playaction. What a huge upgrade that Moore added that most simple basic play to such a dominant rushing team.

McKee apparently had a real nice practice throwing the ball. The other 2 guys only threw a few passes...but were a combined 3 for 3.

I was bishing for us to go from the RPO to play/action. Seemed like the RPO bothered the Oline too, since they were getting tagged(flagged) for illegal downfield.

The reason I posted the Mahomes contract assessment is that it illuminates the next step Jeff and Howie should be thinking about with Jalen … building the stream of off field money. KC has done it with Mahomes and they are reaping huge Salary Cap benefits as a result … $20 million to $30 million a year. New England did the same with Brady.

All of which puts the lie to the argument that the Eagles Offense of 2024, 2023, and/or 2022 were Sirianni’s scheme. His 2021 scheme was put in the dustbin by Steichen, and it has stayed there.

So day 1, we see how they are looking to have the young CBs show off their versatility. Mitchell played exclusively on the left.. and DeJean was on the right in the 2 CB package.

Basically the thought is cross training Mitchell to where he can just follow the best WR ..and getting DeJean reps outside so they can keep him on the field in 2 CB sets.

Keeping their best 2 CBs on the field and covering the best opponents.

The versatility these 2 could provide..would really make the defense reach a higher level for a long long time.

I imagine the O line brought all this up in the meeting with Siri.

How do the cap hits look comparing Mahomes vs Hurts.... perhaps Howie has the #s looking pretty favorable in comparison. Possibly no need to hang out with Jake from State Farm or a fast food franchise?

No idea how you came to that conclusion

Idk... you could look at it that way for sure... or you could look at it if it was Siri’s scheme... well... look at the record. Which teams have better results the last 3 years?

Moore had to take Siri’s O and make it a scheme last season

I believe the sequence was the O-Line going to Stoutland, then together they went to Moore, and then all of them went as a group to Sirianni to explain the changes to him, and how those changes would address team culture issues.

What we do know....during that bye week there was a lot of communication. The culture of open communication set by the coach. No ego. Trust in the players... empowered them to take ownership. The great C mind. C for Culture

Sure, but you get my drift. Move up the chain of command

I’m not following you. 2024 was Moore’s high risk scheme for games 1-4 and then the collaborative low risk Moore-Stoutland scheme from game 5 through the SB. 2023 was Johnson’s scheme throughout the year, which explained the drop off from Steichen’s 2022 scheme. Johnson didn’t have the experience or the cojones to carry off in 2023 what Steichen had carried off in 2022.

But like any corporation, the steps leading up to the meeting with the COO (Moore) are suggestions of what will improve efficiency, looking for both input and approval. COO meetings with the CEO are almost always to inform him or her of the Operational changes that are being implemented.

I'm saying... even if it was a Siri’s scheme...look at the success. 39 regular season wins out of 51 games...a few meaningless losses ....and a few without the starting QB.... AJ and Lane. A slippery field away from one less loss... and 2 titles.

I mean... the last 3 years ...calling it someone's scheme... that's a bad way to try to insult or talk down about someone.

The players certainly learned that complaining and b17ching individually like they did in 2023 wasn’t getting any changes done. They learned they had to organize to come at Siri for change.

I'm glad they went as a unit and didn't just send Stoutland in, nice projection in unity and I'm glad Siri has an open door policy

DeJean can’t afford to just be Slot

I think a lot of changes made during that offseason. Lurie I believe had his biggest impact on the franchise. He likes when there is communication and multiple people looking at things. I believe that he held his group accountable... believing in his GM and coach and holding them accountable to each other. Fixing everything.

It was Moore’s newly created scheme based on Siri’s O. Week one Moore. Week 2 began Siri walking things back.

Also they had no outside or individual agendas. But that comes with the addition of Barkley and the parting of ways with Reddick. The focus was 💯 on winning the whole thing the entire time.
