PFF proves A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith cost former Commande...

Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith were so dominant on the field that two former Commanders lost their jobs because of it.

"Smith’s best game of 2022 came in Week 3 versus Washington when he caught eight of 12 targets for 169 yards and a touchdown (92.5 PFF game grade). Most of his production was with cornerback Kendall Fuller (38.4) in primary coverage — six targets, five receptions, 95 yards, one touchdown and a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeted.

Smith’s dominant performance was even more impressive when you consider that Fuller was one of the 15 highest-graded cornerbacks in the league that season (76.6) and was coming off a year in which he ranked third (81.5) at his position."

Thing is Forbes I always saw and thought was to exactly counter Smitty..not AJ. Think the Commanders screwed that part all up. Like they did most everything for ever under Snyder. They were consistent if nothing else.

That’s the really niche specific detail about us to not be overlooked. Rank WR duos…our two stack up. But there is so much more. AJ and Smitty are unique WR weapons. Opposite of each other. A CB that can even compete against either WR…can’t matchup versus the other guy. Need the physical presence DB can hold ground and contest against AJ. Need the lightning quick react and cut on a dime DB to trouble Smitty.

Washington seemed to understand this. Why I believed they reached and needed to take Forbes so high. Years now AJ and Smitty been teamed up for us now. Eagles and our WR should have been seen and understood as a target and problem. NFC at the least. NFC East just no acceptable reasoning to not have addressed this.

My belief is we really haven’t even maximized this WR duo yet still even. Pathetic scheme for years of both just in routes that defenders already presnap knew were coming. See that’s what seems most here have been missing. Just how fantastic they both have really been. They’ve made it possible for Siri fanatics to pretend to be blind. Any others would have just folded and succumb to those circumstances. But these two actually willed their way forward to not being stopped. So wins, stats still showed up. Because sure those can be looked at as favorable. But….not if you actually specifically and detailed understand/understood the real situation occurring. It’s a shame to have missed. My appreciation has just been through the roof actually understanding how unfavorable their situation they’ve overcome has been. Stats Siri fanatics use to prop him and things up? Those do look just fine…really better than fine. But that’s in a vacuum only. That’s what our duo was doing in terrible scheme and situations. DBs presnap knowing their route that was coming. These two were accomplishing all that under those conditions. Refuse to not succeed rare elite pro athlete winners.

Truth is those Siri fanatic stats used to prop him up that sound good? Were much less than what could have been accomplished in just average level NFL scenarios instead. Most everything going against them….this duo still got that much done. Dare to actuallly just consider or contemplate what this duo could have been accomplishing though. Their special character traits made what’s happened even a possibility that wouldn’t have existed with most any other WR elite talent. They haven’t been propped up by so many great playcalls and scheming them open. In fact…they’ve been at a very low of benefitting from any of this. I mean…even lower level O minds at least have gotten lucky more often than has been happening here for this duo.

Elite so special WR duo we’ve had….on the most dominant rushing team. Grinding clock out limiting passing plays more than any other organization. Then considering how passing scheme has been at the lowest levels league wide the whole time…until they stepped it up finally this last season. But even finally having the passing scheme finally stepping up from so far down at the lowest NFL levels….then HC purposely chooses to limit the passing game. Crazy!!!

Barely fans…or blind Siri fanatics….just post up those stats by our WR duo. Sounds fantastic…in a vacuum…totally blocking out any detail or specifics. Can compare it to so much else favorably even. Yet…YET…they’ve been completely held back and given the toughest of challenges and worst of passing scheme doing it. Once…or if ever…this becomes understood…real appreciation takes place. Then you’d conclude nothing but wanting so much more. An understanding….this duo production only been a shell of their potential. Very good numbers and stats with winning. Understanding how short of the stats they both actually were and would have been earning…then you realize how it’s just false blind prop to use so much less …as the positive to build anything up instead.

How often can you remember this duo benefitting from being schemed open? It’s rare. Less than blind luck percentages occurring even.

There are more really obese gargantuan fat blind squirrels finding all those nuts than this duo O mind schemed open

Somebody is really insecure today.

This WR duo in the worst NFL passing scheme with defenders knowing the play presnap…having to overcome that. They did…unbelievably in fact. Obviously couldn’t keep it up for the end of 2023. So even this duo hit a wall. But then finally getting an actual passing scheme to work in….and HC blocks them and the passing game. Limits them as much as he could. Crazy!!

Was in Siri own personal interests to make sure Moore and the passing game didn’t completely thrive. Practically the same team and guys…if it went from end of 2023 couldn’t punch through a wet paper bag….to super blockbuster all time O? Be a Siri resume killer all the way. Just highlight oh how pathetic things were previously under Siri.

In ways…it was the least season we were in need of Saquan. Finally had a passing scheme being installed for the first time.

I know…so crazy for most to think outside the box and even contemplate. Record breaking greatest rushing season from Barkley. How could it actually also be possible for our greatest passing attack season to be leaned on? Easily…so so easily…if all you do is free your mind enough to just even consider it.

Passing schemes entail significantly more risk. Just ask Andy Reid.

Balance reduces risk. Reduced risk wins more games.

Siri biggest resume self interest was winning the SB and becoming a champion HC. Win/loss record is his largest prop tool about his qualification to man the job.

Reduced risk wins more than scoring 50? I don’t really think so

But…that’s a playing not too lose mentality. Not what I believe a coach should focus on the most. Times it’s prudent. Like end of the ATL game to ice the victory after forcing them out of Timeouts.

I believe much more in don’t coach to not throw interceptions. Coach how to read things and where to go optimally with the passes and routes for success instead

Coaching greatness for an O so stacked to be worthy of all time mention is winning football. Paired with a strong D there wasn’t a reason to not unleash them!

Not many teams could have kept up with our super talented O once they got things installed and filing in the completely different new scheme and O.

See example of when it finally happened. Not like I’m making stuff up just out of thin air even. Something I believed the whole time last season though. Though I knew I was right….could have been debatable or questioned if it actually never did occur. But they exactly were unleashed finally at the end. The results were unstoppable!!! Like 55 points with massively taking our foot off the gas at the end results of dominant O.

Threw an interception in the SB. How did that put victory in jeopardy?
