It sure wasn’t receptions based on quick short passing

?? AJ is a stud on the quick slant route.

AJ and Smith are both excellent YAC receivers. Hurts throws for 5 yards, they run for 20 and Hurts gets the credit for 25 yards please

Really those 2 get open...and both good at catching passes in traffic....especially the consistently underthrown jump ball.

yeah I misread,so how was Dullaz better than us last year??? because they didn't collapse????

To Dallas was not better.  They ended their season the same weekend. Both teams playing like crap, including both defenses and QBs. That's what matters.

He’s not the quality WR Lamb is. You gotta be honest about reality here. I know Lamb is a hated Cowboy. But just doesn’t change the fact of how good a player he is.

Correct...Dallas should have locked him in last year.   They refuse to pay their guys early...then have to overspend later anyway, but in a way that also counts more vs the cap.

Bad business.  But hey, they will exercise 5th year option on Parsons...which is fine...but watch how they won't make a deal with him prior to the fall deadline of being able to use the cap in 2024....or worse , they will spin they get him for a bargain and actually let him play on that 5th year option and then tag him or overpay a monster contract.

Pretty much what is going on with Lamb now

So many times we laugh at how the cowboys amount themselves the best team after they have strong starts to many seasons…but then predictably fall off to finish the seasons.

Yeah I was laughing vs Green Bay in the playoffs.

Because he has stellar players around him. He's an AVERAGE passer

Ehhh.. I like Hurts passing in short yardage... medium distance he is ok... the reading of the defense is the issue there.   Long passes he underthrows... they complete some but his throws alllow the defense to get into the play.

The throwing to me has actually gotten better.... the reading of defenses is still very pedestrian.  You think he regressed... I think Steichen was excellent at keeping the game simple for him not to have to think too much.

Not sure I rank any players leadership qualities above Hurts. He’s far from perfect. But he isn’t lacking in quality leadership character.

Well we know your opinion.... what matters through are the ones within the organization.   You seem to know all the soap opera stuff...  you seem to revel in it.... except I haven't seen you acknowledge the many reports about how they weren't happy with his leadership last year.   A major source of why Sirianni and AJ have to seem as emotional as they are....overcompensation for Hurts being stoic and unemotional.   Seeming disinterested during games,  not engaging the iPad to look at plays on the bench etc.

You don’t think DeVonta’s agent understands how Rosie doesn’t wish to have that fifth year option money all hitting next year’s cap? Things do change if we have to exercise that fifth year option officially.

Ok... let's review business 101.

When a team exercises the 5th year option.  It controls the player for year 5.

The players 5th year salary becomes guaranteed for injury.

In Smith's case when the Eagles exercised the 5th year option to control him... that meant Smith was guaranteed $15.5 million.

Had ZERO negative effect on the Eagles in looking to rush any deal prior to May 2.

The 5th year option $$ does not go on the books. The only things are the team retains control for the 5th year and the player will get at least that money.

$15.5 mil had zero effect on the new deal as Smith was always going to get more than that in a new deal.... more than 3 times more as we saw.

May 2 = zero effect.

Now... we see currently...All these WRs being under team control in their 5th year....with that money being guaranteed.  But they are all looking for contracts that dwarf the 5th year option.  When teams redo their deals...the 5th year option $$ becomes obsolete.

So... with Smith... the Eagles exercised the 5th year option to get control... they redid the contract...so any $15.5 million gets erased

It seems some mat think Smith is getting a $15.5 million salary simply because the Eagles exercised the option.   That's not the case.   Just like all these WRs if they get new deals will have the huge signing bonus and this year's salary will be around the $1 mil minimum.

For Smith... there is no way he just signed a contract...and us going to wait to get paid.  Yes it's an extension.

But do you really think he settling for $3 mil cash this year, $15.5 mil next year....and locking in a $25 mil number for 2026 before these other WRs get paid?

That would be grounds to fire the agent.  He absolutely should be getting some cash NOW with a signing bonus that should spread from 2024 to 2028.  That should be a good chunk of the $51 mil guaranteed.

The $15.5 mil 5th year salary should be erased off the books with the new contract..... as it would have been if signed after May 2.  May 2 was irrelevant.

You called and predicted a total collapse???? NAH you;re lying now

I did state very clearly that we very well could lose to the Cards.

You're polishing his knob or you are his agent,or both. Character doesn't pull teams out of a slump. It's leadership and Hurts didn't do it. he has another chance this year and he better get it done

It’s answers and adjustments….provided from self scouting. Our coaches had zero of these.

or he will go the way of Fields who had a WORSE team to deal with

Another example of how you just don’t see or understand so much. You compared Fields to Hurts. Claimed the Bears were a strong team capable of winning their division last year even. I kept telling you before and even then…it was going down like it has.

Yes he is. Very great at that route. Yet we barely utilized him doing it last season. Shameful. But…we brought back the coach anyway.

Green Bay became a very legitimate team. I’m paying close attention to what they are up to. They are a team to contend with in the NFC.

Parker called it like it is…he throws a very nice catchable ball downfield. He gives his WRs the opportunity to go up and win the ball. Or a Pass Interference penalty should be called. Haven’t really generated enough of those as I see it somehow though.

The OC has been his lifelong family friend. He wasn’t going to throw Johnson under the bus. That’s to be admired. But not what the team needed last season. The change on O coaching was what was needed…not so much on D. Rosie really **** the bricks on that whole heavily thought out plan of his. Complete fail!

Of course he got money in his pocket now in the form of a signing bonus. Probably like 17 mil-ish. He’s not a rookie that hasn’t made any money yet. So he’s not in desperate need of game changing money to make him a millionaire or anything. Guaranteed money coming is the main factor for him.

We can lose any week,I would prefer that to be vs  a BETTER team not an arse dragging 3 win one

Just a good lesson for you to learn from of: 10-1 really doesn’t mean crap!

Just means you will make the postseason. Not that you’ll be capable of doing anything with that ticket already punched.

The coaches aren't on the field. WHY do you think they call QB's the "field general", clearly Hurts is a private. Instead of saying :It's on me and I need to do better" he needs to actually DO IT-EVERY week. Ok,all teams have bad weeks, just not 6 in a row if you have true leadership
