Ideally everybody is working towards making it happen. Saquan commands a certain amount of attention. AJ pulls two DBs stretching them out away. Blockers. The YAC Creator setting up those blocks.

Obviously it takes everyone in sync. That's why they practice. Some people have a talent for making guy miss on an individual basis. If you want to call that a "specialist" that's up to you. I call it a talent for making guys miss lol. I just want guys making plays. With proper dominant blocking anyone can be a YAC "specialst"

As I said I love MJ. It would be a pity to lose him. So the question becomes do you ride with Dillon, or look to the future with MJ? I know they like BVS who would take the last "RB" spot. With MJ, of course" you could risk him on the PS, but I don't see him staying there long due to his upside potential which will draw teams needy of a RB 2 or 3 and there are plenty of those. So the cuts are going to be very interesting. Injuries could also decide a few roster spots(if we have any and I don't wish for any but it happens)

Ham may have some input on this, but the reports on Shipley are that he is less than good on pass protection. If true that would bump Dillon up to RB2. MJ would need to demonstrate pas protection proficiency. That is hard for a rookie to do.

That's one thing I bash "highlight" vids about. They show the plays that get attention, but none of how they perform overall. They should also have a lowlights vid,so us meager fans can see both sides of said coin

Ham is a big Shipley fan(apparently) yet he bashed Gains. They are both similar in how they were/will be used. I also found that 1 article I posted(first one) a little concerning, that Hurts peformance dropped off with Smitty out. Of course they could be forcing those plays to see 'what works" so hard to tell, but apparently it was enough to write about for that writer. Not going to panic in July(well almost August). our BU center may also be playing himself out of a job. Fun days ahead!

On another note,it appears Justin Simmons would like to play here. I would like to have him here, except for the cost factor. The positional injuries could mean early on we could use him. But if you pay him,you use him all year(lol- well DUH), So that would be a Howie/Fangio decision if he would be worth the cost. Simmons has already made it known he wants to play here

OT-McLaurin requesting a trade from the wuss

  • Author

So this McLaurin thing-he would be expensive. Have him and AJ as the Y/X and drop smitty in the slot for the best 3 some since snap, crackle, pop. Smitty could pull some look alike JJ plays. Snapping out of the slot, crackling out is route and popping into the EZ. AJ,Smitty,McLuarin with Dotson backing and getting some partial game snaps in. There are your 4 solids. If Cooks looks good,,we can basically take 1 more of our choice.Avery would.be my guess because of his ST prowess.. I think my boy gets cut, He can find a job as WR3 somewhere else ,because we would have too much talent in that scenario. Now you run into the BVS issue. That roster spot is taken by him for an actual RB spot. MJ is young and will take time to develop. i personally love the kid,but there may be too few roster spots for him. On the PS for him and we could use one of those special tags as a minor deterrent for those wanting to snag him. He needs to play well and hope Dillon stumbles to have a shot

We aren't paying another $25-30 mil for a WR. Not every malcontent or available player needs fo be an Eagle.

Never said we were going to. But Howie has a way of working what players want from a contract that other teams refuse to do for them(see AJ ,Barkely etc). McLaurin has been giving them every chance to do his contract and the wuss won't. Maybe he would like a ring. But you have to admit that triple tandem would be awesome for many years

I was predicting just how complicated McLauren contract was going to be. He has max leverage. Top stud QB only reliable weapon.

Rosie isn’t going to pay McLauren the money he’s looking for. I’m believing he’s trying to bend them over. Because he can. Heck ….Aiyuck did to the Niners…who didn’t need him nearly as much.

McLauren isn’t even staying on the phone with a GM offering AJ money I suspect.

When did you "predict" this now? I'm not issue it's a money issue

Chase getting 40 mil

I never said he WOULD,but it would be interesting to add him and use Smitty as a JJ clone in the slot

I was discussing and diving deep into his contract situation. When you declared McLauren is a top WR.

He said he was "done", meaning done trying to work with the wuss

30 mil is the floor for McLauren
