Before Banner all the employees under the General Manager were football people. Banner expanded the role of the General Manager to include bean counters performing analytics. In effect he was deploying AI before there was any actual AI computerization. He boldly went where no one had gone before … into spreadsheets and computer models. No one had ever approached the Cap the way Banner approached it. He understood leverage and used it. No one had ever done that prior to him. Wharton created a sports business major because of Banner.

I could not find any such major at Penn,

However, I did find a summer course offered online to H.S. grads with at least a 3.2 GPA.

  1. Pickett did request a trade ...AFTER demotion ... one could interpret that as forcing it, but I don;t have an opinion either way.

  2. McKee is not Pickett.... he wasn't a starter or told he would have an opportunity to start.... he was promoted this year, not demoted. He is on the way up in his career.... not sure why he would demand a trade?

The big thing is if McKee is traded... it's no guarantee he ends up getting paid any sooner than year 5 anyway.

And no guarantee the Eagles will get more than if they waited until after the season. One could easily argue the opposite.

Welp, McKee won't be replacing Hurts anytime soon,so if he is able to play a few games as a starter for us he could have a nice uptick after the season ends to be a starter elsewhere. I mean even with the 2's he performed very well,but I think they would like McKee to stay just for the value he has if Hurts went down for a stretch run. O really don't feel T-R or McCord are at the level needed to guide this team in that event(Hurts getting hurt)

Nobody ever approached the salary cap the way Joe Banner did before.... possibly because there wasn't one before Banner had the job?

He CREATED the most popular franchise. The Cowboys were like the Libertarian Party or the Green Party when he bought them. Marginal.

B.S. Roger Staubach, Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, Drew Pearson and Tom Landry had alot to do initially with their popularity.

Of equal importance was they were the only NFL team in the Southwest, plus they were always on TV on Thanksgiving.

Despite all of the above, two previous ownwers went bankrupt.

Jimmy Johnson had much more to do with the Cowboys success in the nineties than Jerry ever did.

I need to trim my dynasty roster down from 30 to maximum 25 players before the draft. Here is my team ... who should I cut

QB = Allen, Dak, Young and Nix

RB = Barkley, Aaron jones, Chase Brown, Kenneth Walker, Bucky Irving, Jordan Mason , Zeke Elliot, Tyler Allgeier

WR = Jefferson, St Brown, Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Tank Dell, Wan'Dale Robinson NYG, Rashob Bateman, Keon Coleman, Xavier Legette, Roman Wilson, Tyler Lockett,

TE = Laporta, Freiermuth

K = McPherson and Bates

DST = Buffalo, Cleveland and Jax

IDK how much I trust the Jags D. I mean if they don't get poor Lawrence some O weapons, they will be on the field 45 mins a game LOL One could make the same argument for the Browns although I suspect they will be better than Jax. Allen and Nix at QB are keepers, Dak will be Dak. Young IDK in the same boat as Lawrence at this point,but he is young and probably worth keeping in a dynasty league. Lockett may be a cut as well. You could risk cutting Friermuth if you think you have a better TE BU to choose from,but he will be the "out" for any QB they start

So you don;t think that the Eagles will get offered 2 first round picks like Ham has stated for McKee?

Talk about blatantly putting words in another’s mouth. Why would you even do it? I’m looking for quite a generous return already. Two second round picks would be fantastic. Just get near that and you almost have to trade him. Do need a backup QB this season however. Is DTR up to the task? Or more importantly, can he get there by the time it will be needed?

I’ll be waiting for you to fullfill terms after losing the bet No MAs

I think you missed the part were the Steelers were done with Kenny Pickett the failed 1st rounder and were looking to trade him had nothing to do with Pickett "forcing” a trade lol

Gave you the link to educate yourself on what you missed

That Pickett is a sorry arse whiney little girl who wants no competition???? We dumped his butt fast too. At least T-R will try and not whine like a little B. Cleveland(a QB needy team) is also finding out he is a POS

No the original wager was about if we traded McKee this year or not. Get your wagers straight. Then in true I,ME,MY style you deflected off into the Pickett baloney

I never said I liked McKee first. But I did notice he had ‘it’ right when I first saw him as an Eagles. Actually felt many or even the majority felt he was better than Pickett. Including yourself and TD being with me on that.

Definitely not No Mas because it would mean Rosie did something that wasn’t great…he couldn’t have that..EVER

Pickett was nothing more than a safety value because at the time, we didn't know if McKee was for real or not

Two different wagers. I know…I created them. I’m not the one afraid to put my money where my mouth is…because I’m the one knows what he’s talking about with this. McKee traded now is educated guess I’m comfortable wagering on…but not a given fact at this time like the other wager.

You can’t even keep your own opinions straight now. Which side and what did you think about McKee? And when? Seems like now you weren’t feeling McKee as much as I gave you earlier credit for.

LOL obviously it's not a fact until it happens, thats what wagers are for. I say no McKee trade this year(until after the season). I don't give a crap about any Pickett wager because it has nothing to do with us now

If we traded Hurts tomorrow I would have NP with starting McKee. fact is,that's not going to happen. McKee could be traded after this season if the EAGLES FO choose to, not because he "forces his way out".
