Yeah...by all accounts it was Doug holding out from putting in Hurts.

Listen ..I get your love for Doug and hate for Howie....but Hurts was and is Howie's boy..  The rest of the world wanted a weapon or player in round 2...not a backup QB.  You think Doug was trying to be " smartest guy in the draft room"?

We all know who needs to be that.

It was Lurie holding back from Hurts. But really you don’t want to give up on your franchise QB we had just inked in Wentz. This I can easily can understand.

Rosie was throughly vetting QBs and stacking up picks to make a move for a QB. It was a pathetic QB class…thankfully for us. Still he used that moment to full circle make a trade and bring in Pickett(the top QB prospect that season) as our backup behind Hurts.

Why was he stacking picks ONLY for  QB.

The Miami trade..  the Saints trade were excellent trades.  You can't turn them down.

It's why I don't want to do that Bears trade from Bleacher report... without the pick being on the clock.

I don’t hate Rosie. I just can see all sides of things. I can see many great things Rosie has and can do. But I also can realize his limitations and flaws. He makes some great moves…some really dumb moves. He brought us Pedey and our first SB. That’s huge for me. Rosie did that. But then he undid it almost as quick.

Well...if Doug really wanted to work with Hurts...don't you think he would have stayed?   I know you let your heart get in the way and miss the reality of things...all things Doug was saying and reports coming out... but Hurts is Howie's boy.  Doug is a passing coach...not a RPO guy.

Again... you already have the excuses.  The current coach would have won without a certain fumble.

At some point you gotta face reality...yours and Howie's boy isn't perfect.

Pedey would have won.Schwartz wouldn’t have been b1+ched like Gannon. On and on…Rosie failed us. Having such a lucky and great season as a GM coinciding with the perfect SB path I’ve ever seen. If Rosie hadn’t fired the coaches? We win our second SB. Rosie’s brilliance was trumped by his flaws.

Pedey put Hurts in. Never heard him with anything but praise for Hurts. Nothing but terrible reaching spin from you here to act like Pedey should have just stayed to be a lil b1+ch under Rosie’s rule. Pedey’s OC choice been looking to serve him very well in Jax.

All reports coming out were Rosie was stacking picks and thoroughly looking into that extremely weak QB class. Which Rosie even admits.

Idk about great moves.... he does the obvious things with the contracts, using advice from his experts.   He works hard as he constantly communicates with other GMs.  You can't turn down lopsided trades from desperate teams like Miami and New Orleans.

Idk..maybe Mailata would be considered a great move.  Not sure if it's Howie himself...or just his confidence is Stout?

I'm not one to use extremes though.  Idk about great.  Hurts contract though... that's pretty creative and maybe close to great.. avoiding the cap hits of a franchise QB...with an out after 3 years.

Gotta give him or his team credit for that one... the QB contract is the most important one.... having Hurts cheaper than a Jevon Hargrave is pretty shrewd.

All reports are the media speculation.   The Miami trade and Saints trade... one would be an idiot to turn those down.

You were against Hurts favoring Wentz. Nothing ever was said like that from Pedey’s perspective. Rosie stated how hard he was looking into Pickett after we now traded for him this season.

Kellen Moore is a passing coach also ,should be interesting to see how he wants this offense to work, but we also added an effective RB

Hopefully bring in a quality coach. Just not real high on bringing in Bellicheat for a variety of reasons. He was the other option to move on from Siri for this offseason. Still seems like Bellicheat just waiting on deck for next season. Heck….might not take that long. Could possibly come in at some point this season….if things start terribly.

Belicheck is not coming here...forget him.  Stop reading bleacher report.... turn on some local media.  Much easier to get a picture of things

Doesn't Lurie hire the coaches?

Rosie called Bellicheat. His own words. Fact!

I said from the 2020 season...the GM put a crap roster.  The injuries of 2020 were an excuse for him...should have been excuse for the coach and QB too.

The problem is..you get too emotional about certain people...me defending Doug/ Wentz...to you was only defending Wentz.   Like you claim Doug for yourself or something?

Now we are here... because I see the motivation for Howie to be forced to give Hurts all the weapons...otherwise he runs out of excuses if Hurts fails.  He needs Hurts to succeed...  otherwise he is a failure and looks brutal for firing Doug.

So we got Jordan Davis instead of Pickett

In a startling report out of ESPN, Philadelphia's ownership and front office spoke to former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick shortly after the Super Bowl champion parted ways with the team he won six titles with. While the Eagles contemplated what bringing Belichick into the fold could bring, the organization ultimately decided against it due to their trust in current head coach Nick Sirianni, and the belief their organizational structure would have to change should Belichick be hired.

No... we got Davis, Brown, Carter and pick 50 instead of Pickett.

Yes....as I said... Howie constantly works the communication.

You take it as...Howie / Lurie want Belicheck.   No shot he comes here.

Not really thinking Davis looking like a real big positive from Rosie. Trading up so high for him hasn’t been looking very wise. Surely not if you expect high picks to not be very developmental. Hopefully Davis can play half of each game and still have any effective play on the second half of the season…dare to think about postseason even.

Why stack #1 picks??    Idk maybe we get offered next year's #1 pick from a team in the mid 30s...should we turn it down because we don't need a QB?  Makes no sense.  Team offers you a trade that benefits you...you take it.

I take it as we needed to hire good coaches.

Kind of degrading for Pickett to go from starter to BU in 2 short years
