Pretty much every TE in this class was going to take time to develop very few are asked to be inline blocking guys anymore. But the Eagles have been brining along TEs now for a while Celek to Ertz. Ertz to Geodart. Now Geodart to Stowers.

The real question was if Stowers was willing to be a blocker and early on sounds like yea that something he wants to add to his game

I’ve stated Stowers is willing blocker. That’s important. But we’ve been more reliant on blocking TE than most others. We’ve had so many snaps with a blocking WR or second blocking TE. That’s with Goedert being an excellent blocker. It really hurt us having Calc out there instead.

Yes wasn’t a fan of drafting Davis so high. But I haven’t just been nothing but against him. I’ve pointed out how good I believe he is as an influence on Carter. I happy Jordan Davis just finally gave enough a crap about his job he started working out. Hooray. Seems like some of my concerns and thoughts proved justified that he just wasn’t doing it before though.

He had a strong 2024 season as well was great against the run and even had his best stretch during the playoff run/SB…. Then builds on that being our best DL last season.

Again this is a young guy he just turned 26 shocker it took him little while tog DT his diet and weight under control

But your to busy being nothing but negative in anything regarding Davis

I give my two cents on most everything Eagles. Feel it was a positionally forced bad draft pick.

It’s great you didn’t like the pick but you go way past that instantly hating a player and sticking with that no matter what always looking for some fault just like you constantly do with Jordan Davis.

You hated the pick day 1 and have been negative about everything about him since…. Best DL on the team last year and your mad he got an extension

Wasn’t mad he got an extension at all, false. I made the case Davis was worth more based on being a positive influence around Carter in fact. Stating I’d overpay him what he’s worth purely production wise on the field. But definitely feel the extension given was too much.

The player himself acknowledges his flaws

Again 21 year old kid it’s great then if he acknowledges his weaknesses and knows what he needs to improve on. Als great he gets to learn from another massive man Jordan Mailata.

If he ends up bad he ends up bad but really no need to instantly label some who is 22 as anything especially after playing an entire season without giving up a single sack

A bunch of jabber talk acting like it’s countering anything I ever said. Sounds great unless you include facts. The facts are I’ve routinely talked about player development along with coaching development much more than any other poster here. Bell has real issues I’m talking about transitioning to become a pro.

List the issues that can't be corrected. His weight, wingspan can't be corrected what else?

Bell has developed a specific set of adaptations to compensate.

So it's compensated for?

His one handed jab was quite effective in college. Do you really see that working in the NFL? Anybody? Anybody? Bueller?

SO his learning stops at the 1 hand jab?

Some how in your head this statement made enough sense to post. I’ve never remotely stated anybody quits learning once they leave college. Instead have pointed out how much learning athletes are capable of with each year in the pros. To the extent pointed out how much further QBs have proven to be in their thirties. That’s pointing out the learning taking place eight years as a pro. You know….the exact opposite of the words you falsely are attempting to place in my mouth.

Not just pathetic by you on just the one issue. You doubled down on the exact opposite of my thinking. You then attempted to use my guy Uar Benard that I’ve posted so much about against me like I was totally against him.

Then why do you assume Bell's learning stops after college? Uar is "your guy" I thought Stowers was. Shipley was also your guy and he hasn't done a thing. everyone we pick was "your guy" now? If you are bashing Bell because he has things to learn them bash Bernard the same way. It's called being consistent, just as you can't find any fault with Hurts but will bash any other QB for doing the same things. it's comical and we all enjoy the entertainment, thanks

What rational thinking person would attempt this?

Attempt what? You are the fool claiming Bell can't learn anything. He will "get eaten alive"????? Sure if you drop him on game 1. Nobody is pplanning to do that. Another stupid statement. If Bell peaked already Howie would never have taken him. How much more stupidity can you post (sorry I asked because we're going to find out) Maybe Bell ends up as a G or a swing tackle and???????

My whole take on my boy Eli Stowers was he’ll need time to develop but is going to be a heck of a player.

More BS -93 picked out Stowers, then I concurred. Stowers is not "your boy" LMAO. What a joke

So he fixed his flaws with coaching??? But Bell can't? Got it

So what happens if he can't get better as hard as we try and we cut him later? Is that like the end of the world????? He's going to cause us to go 3-14????? You take shots with every damn draft pick in ANY round. You don't know this by now? Maybe because you can't learn either?????

Why he wasn't selected in round 1??????? He manned up enough to recognize his flaws and maybe those go away with PROFESSIONAL coaches???? Just ridiculous

Never said anything about Bell can learn how to fix it.. he can’t ..and won’t be able to is my exact position.

Wasn’t going to be selected on day two either….except we reached and forced the positional pick.

OK welp if Howie is taking draft picks that can't learn then we're going to work our way to the bottom real fast

AND????? Most figured an OT for us first, but you can't turn down a GIFT. If you noticed Pitts took the OT next with what most thought would be our pick at 23(Iheanachor), but when you can take the next possible JJ you don't turn that down

More fake news, you are the one that said Bell can't learn LOL. So what happens if Bell ends up as a BU LG or swing tackle? Is that the end of the world?

I believe overall Rosie did well with this draft. I didn’t like this draft class all together. It was as weak as any I can remember. Very quality first two picks. Making the move for Greenard was a very good move. I have some some belief in a couple of the day three guys as well. Might even have grabbed an UDFA that makes the team.

Well a round 3 ending up being cut is not going to hurt all that bad. But let's give Bell a chance to learn a year THEN you can point out his flaws. Maybe Bell has other attributes the new OC sees? It's not going to be Soutland O line anymore, prepare for changes. Maybe Bell has those attributes. What you are used to in the past, no longer applies
